This is what happens when ethnicity and political loyalty are placed ahead of the country. TTP has murdered more Pashtuns than anyone else in recent history, yet some people still reserve all their anger for the state while making excuses for the very terrorists slaughtering their own people.

Tribal elders were beheaded, markets were bombed and entire communities were terrorised, but there was never the same outrage or resistance against TTP. A society cannot defeat an enemy it is still unwilling to clearly identify and confront. At some point, KPK society also has to look inward and ask why these narratives continue to find space.

The answer is simple. The establishment ignores those who were against TTP and coddled TTP.

I am from Dera Ismail Khan. My tribe shed a matric ton of blood at jandola (which acts as a pass between settled areas and Waziristan) to keep TTP at bay in 2000s/2010s. From letting Tank and Dikhan becoming the next swat.

The state repaid in an effort to appease families of TTP aka PTM, removed all checkpoints between Waziristan and DIKHAN and tank in 2018 onwards. Now, everything in the two districts is ablaze.

Every an Lashkar elder was either assassinated or forced to flee between 2016-19.

How do YOU now convince the locals to act against TTP when everyone knows what the state does to them after.

The weapon of the TTP is terror. It's effective at using that weapon. The weapon of any state is legitimacy of itself and it's policies. It has no legitimacy for anyone in the province and it's policies change like sun in the sky throughout the day.

The state chose PTM and by extension TTP over the people that helped it. It's paying for that choice and the people that helped it are dead.

2. How will you ensure that their next generation doesn't grow up seeking retribution

3. How will you stop foreign elements from getting active and flying/smuggling in support and weapons to the Taliban when we turn this war hot

4. How will you ensure that your border remains secure when even a McLaren can be smuggled across it into Chaman?

5. How will you handle the international fallout from committing bonafide genocide?

6. Will China (your only real military supplier) stand by and let you do this? They have business interests there

7. This model has already been enacted by Israel. Did it achieve any real peace and security by doing all of this?

Its stupid to bring nukes in to this debate, too much emotion, so Pakistani members need to watch their words.

Regarding Afghanistan situation, it was Pakistan, Usa and Saudia which radicalised them and Saudia continues to fund wahabism in to Pakistan but our rulers dare not to mention or stop this, riyal talks.
During Usa occupation, TTP still used to bomb Pakistan, how was this possible and why fingers are not being pointing at Usa/Nato for funding and spreading anti Pakistan hatred in Afghanistan. Our legs will shake.

The current Afghanistan, the Tajikis, Uzbkehs, Kazakhs, Hazaras, Turkmen can be our allies who form the majority in Afghanistan, they only hated us because we backed Taliban, but it will take time to change the table but people need to understand the regime after the Taliban will still be friendly to India. Before 911 if for example we had 80% influence in Afghanistan, today we have 10%, and 90% influence or controlling Afghanistan was in the past, times have changed, just accept it and move on, we will remain a small player due to our financial situation.

Scorched earth and a complete erasure of the ideology of afghaniat is the only solution for durable peace in this region. They started this war, we will finish it.

A Pakistani general once said a life of a single Pakistani is worth more than the whole of Afghanistan. I stand by that. They are all enemy combatants to me. Do whatever is neccessary to safeguard Indus for our future generations.

Where is Pakistani ideology? Our rulers ideology is incompetence and corruption. The Afghans should be fearing us, not the other way around. That was sealed the minute we helped or at least stood by and watched the Taliban come back into power. I was an idiot back then too. I thought ISI was playing some high class 5th dimensional chess and these Tallies were loyal proxies that we'd use as 'strategic depth'. I was one of the buffoons who celebrated it because I fell for the spectacle of that cup of tea at Serena hotel. Drank the Hamid Gul kool-aid so to say.

At one point I even fantasised about PAF parking high value assets on Bagram airbase to increase distance from India!

Coming to having no choice. Alright, everyone is angry and wants payback. Lets go and get it as you said, with 10,000 unguided bombs. Lets say we drop these over the course of a couple months as part of a sustained air campaign.

First of all, our intelligence literally sucks. Have not found TTP leader Mehsud in years. Most of these bombs will be dropped on the wrong locations. Our civilian death tally will be in the thousands. The Taliban will go back to their NATO era policy of traveling single file on individual bikes and vehicles to minimise their casualties. They will lose some leaders who will be replaced by any of their 15 sons. High value guys will go completely underground (they've been doing this for 2 decades against a much higher caliber air force, they know the drill)

Civilian death toll on Afghanistan will provide further fuel for Taliban recruitment, there is no special training or knowledge transfer that they will have lost from their dead commanders.

Border will be open because again, our intelligence really sucks and there is also a lot of conflict of interest going on at the border which is a completely separate issue. Suicide bombers start driving in by the droves.


All of this is actually irrelevant because it will never happen because Asim Munir will be busy negotiating peace between Peru and Ecuador via the Kuzco Pact (empty piece of paper that says Inshallah on it)

I told PDF members, Pakistan needs to work with the Tajikis, Uzbekhs, Kazakhs, Hazaras, Turkmen, improve relations and try to balance between them and Pashtuns but PDF experts were screaming Afghanistan and Taliban are brothers and we are one. I remember some members were saying we told Turkey to stay out of Afghanistan since its our backyard. Today we are on our knees for Turkey to get involved.

The difference is the Taliban told the Usa Saudia and Pakistan that they are not puppets, this is the main issue, if tomorrow Taliban again be puppets you watch how Usa and Saudia will recognise them. Pakistan needs to be smart, work with Afghanistan, find allies and bring them on board Cpec and Gwadar, then slowly fight out the TTP. We dont need to bomb Afghanistan, just assasinate all TTP leadership and anti Pakistan elements but dont take responsibility, play their game.

I am happy that Pakistan is responding kinetically against Afghanistan once again. our internal security situation doesnt give us the luxury to go fight for GCC, they got hired mercernaries, Americans and Israelis doing that work for them already.

I dont understand why would PTI support TTP, TTP kills Pashtuns and bombs KPK which harms PTI interests, we also have 10,000s of armed forces, police, agencies in KPK, noone can stop them from carrying out operations. Can you please explain what the real issue is. Is it all to discredit PTI and remove them from Pakistan politics or is PTI actually looking the other way when it comes to TTP. Because TTP existed before PTI government, terrorism and extremism existed before them.

When you have the state(in collusion with external powers) spending decades glorifying jihad within the area - what do you expect?

Pakistan spearheaded the creation of militant camps, spread specific imported ideology among what were generally tribal people from the start with known tribal warfare. That is like introducing water to magnesium and saying why does magnesium burn?
