Operation Ghazab Lil Haq (Pakistan - Afghanistan War)

Any reason why he hasn't been taken out? Roaming freely in Afghanistan.

i remember few months back we tried to kill him but he got away injured .

I have no idea how many checkposts do we have and at what distance each is located to create a thick blanket of resistance to infiltration. But setting up 7 AM3505 would cover the border and give us better info of influx that could be used to combt terrorism, smuggling and human trafficking.

The smugglers and human traffickers are all in bed with the govt. It's a primary source of corruption in the state and why diversity of smuggled goods keeps increasing, like dollars and Iranian oil in last 10 years.

Organised chaos. Fog of war to maintain smuggling routes. Man I hope this isn't how it is, surely not.

It's a bit of both.

Lower level commanders in those regions are highly corrupt, in some aspects it also buys their loyalty.

In recent years though I think the focus from the top has become more strict and there's less leniency as they're beginning to see Afghanistan as a major national security threat.

It's hard to manage such large terrain especially when demographics overlap and there is resistance from quarters on both sides. You heavily militarise and you get the ANP, PTM aligned folks complaining.

The smuggling routes have been there last 50 years. I remember hearing credible stories in 90s of civil servants paying huge bribes just to get posted to Pakistan western border because the bribes from smuggling gangs were so lucrative. That hasn't changed, only grown. How do you think all that foreign stuff in Pakistani stores gets there ? All smuggled from Afghanistan.

Need to crackdown on anyone found selling smuggled goods. Pakistan losses billions. The days of bara market Peshawar should end. NFC award taxes don't grow on trees.

Seems like these people don't want to live and commit suicide so offer themselves to TTP in exchange for cash for their families.

Social media Reports of Helicopters being used against militants around Nawa Pass between Bajaur district and Kunar province of Afghanistan.

Which side the militants are being engaged on is not yet clear or even if it's actually Nawa Pass and not Mohmand district, just south of nawa pass, where militants are reportedly cornered.

Both are happening in close proximity that I don't know whether it's two engagements or the same. Anyway
