They are running out of interceptors for Arrow 2/3. It takes a very long time to build more.

US has basically left its allies proxies Israel and Ukraine without enough air defense interceptors, which has made them very vulnerable.

Meanwhile Iranian Russian Chinese and North Korean production of missiles and rockets is high and supplies Russia's needs well (enough). There are many more missiles and rockets that Israel will need to intercept (irrespective of how many air strikes Israel does) in the ongoing war.

If Iran closes Hormuz it doesnt damage Israel, it damages GCC and GCC customers.

Iran threatened with Hormuz closure when it was threatened by Western powers one decade ago.
And to warn GCC to dont let their airspace to Israel attack Iran.

But KSA/Qatar/UAE have already said that they wont let their airspace to Israel attacks.
And Western powers are not threatening Iran this time.

Global oil prices will increase dramatically if 5 of the top 10 oil producing nations cannot export anymore. Irans strategy is probably to make Israels allies think twice before they lend any further support to the Israelis. Most economies around the globe are dealing with inflation and falling living standards. The last thing they need is for the main engine of their economies to become hugely expensive overnight.

To render isolation and sanction and bring more players to the table meaning exerting pressure on the whole world not just on them. It is strong card and on their place i would close it minute after any attack on their oil infrastructure.

It would be a nice dream from Israel side, to add more enemies to Iran, but a total nonsensical movement from Iran.
