This exact arrogance and hegemonism of China do not allow for things to cool off. They don't want partners, they want subjects.

The dispute between China and India is many gold, but the largest is the border dispute. What India may not accept but should understand is that China views the Indian claim line as the one imposed upon them by the British. Therefore, the Chinese don’t want to accept one of these last vestiges of the unequal treaties they had to sign.

China also wants to hold all territory associated with or once ruled by Tibet.

When china has internal trouble, it HAS to stir up trouble outside to divert attention. That is the fundamental nature of all authoritarian govt.

pakistan is another example of the same. Now look at the BD kangraoo govt. , same $hit.

There is no news here.

1, Mao Zedong still had >90% support rate in 1959-1962.
2, CCP doesn't have to divert ordinary people attention because they don't vote.
3, There were many easier targets if China wanted a border conflict. China has 14 neighbour countries. Most of them are much weaker than India.
