OUR BRAVE JOURNALISTS, ANCHORS, V-LOGGES

I am today eighty. My late father was a clerk. Unaffordable for him but knowing importance of education, he subscribed Daily Magharabee Pakistan Lahore Urdu daily for me. I started reading it without understanding what is kalabagh dam, what is assembly, who is sarhadee ghandee. With passage of time my access reached to Daily Jang and Urdu digest. Two names immediately got extreme respect in my the then innocent mind viz Altaf Hussain Qureshi and Inam Durrani columnist. Soon this respect vanished when I grew up a little, was employed and got some sense. Today I do not trust or believe any writer, anchor, politician, ruler or minister. All are one way or the other fooling us the ordinary and have their tilt one side or the other. One having little honesty, can see recent Maryam Nawaz trip to London, a senior so called journalist Huffiza Rehman saying media should ask question once or twice and is not supposed to keep “chasing or following” it. This is today’s our journalist!



2. Two weeks back well known v-logger and senior journalist Umer Cheema, as great that Panama Leaks got his help in getting facts concerning Pakistan verified through him before release, in his v-log covered with much “pride” as exclusive that both the accused Professor Jadoon as well as Dr. Aina of a KP university in Islamabad have been removed from service.



3. The honest journalist did not mention a single word about the main figure namely the uniformed officer found in the video clips.



4. There should be no worry at all. Dr. Aina will very soon, INSHALLAH, get a new, much better, job. About Dr. Jadoon nothing can be said.



5. What a wonderful decision of our authorities. A question often raised is why Pakistan always remained in declining mood, answer is in this episode decision but only for judiciously honest citizen. Each passing day answers as to why the World Justice Index has put Pakistan down at 128. Due to God fearing justice delivery here!!! This is called technique to kill the real issue by fooling the nation through the hands of journalists, anchors like this v-logger. Where went the real and the most serious national issue of concern? This honest and out-spoken v-logger did not feel even to mention at.



6. I am sure serious readers must have read a very popular book

Muhammad Khan He detailed in this book how on selection as cadet when all cadets reached Rawalpindi and on railway station looked towards coolies to pick up their luggage, a loud harsh shouting voice echoed “pick up and sit in sixteen hundred tons” . The cadet describes how it was a biggest shock for all of them the new second lieutenants. From that moment they had daily insults, almost humiliation, shame on themselves from the instructors in the parade ground. The cadet retired as Colonel writes if those words unspeakable are gathered in a book it would become the most revealing thriller in the world.



7. I served for 43 years as an Officer in Police Uniform abroad. I went three times to the Parade ground facing all this. Attitude of instructors whether in Pakistan, in UK or in Jordan is the same viz insulting, shouting on trainees. This is deliberate and in effect an integral part of the training for the would be uniformed personnel. The purpose of this deliberate insult is to thrust in the trainees to bear all this, feel helpless, kill one’s self ego or respect, remain cool under all circumstances because tomorrow one had to hold a lethal arms in the hand which required a tremendous self control facing a hostile mob. This insult and shouting is to thrust a rigid discipline that these cadets when in uniform with an arms in hand, had to control themselves whatsoever their emotions that time may be, had to remain unmoved until their Commander told them to move or do something.



8. In this case no brave anchor, no brave journalist, no v-logger, no politician participating as guest in talk shows talked about the uniformed officer who flouted the discipline in public display and like a South Indian film Villon waved weapon on the road. Uniform code almost all over the world prescribed immediate suspension, court martial enquiry, punishment and removal when every thing unrefutably is visible in videos recorded at the scene. No brave outspoken Cheemas have uttered a word on it that what happened to the main actor in the episode. Yes, I do image like others.



9. Last week another brave v-logger from Soharwardi tribe in his talk show apprised his viewers how a Federal Minister had purchased a Mayfair London Flat. Over doze of bravery could not pull out from his mouth name of the Minister but only Federal Minister. Last month on Dailyurducolumns.com a similar brave senior writer not in a single but two columns entitling Allied Bank of Pakistan detailed his frustration from the hands of Bank’s Wah Branch. It was really a brave move but later over doze of bravery got the columns deleted or blocked on the pretext his grievance solved. Thus the brave writer protected and petted the Branch staff encouraging them to keep continue with others what they had done with him. The usual approach from elders of the area or threat from the Employer got the columns deleted otherwise a true journalist would had penned down a third column showing his writing helped him, the Branch mended itself with promise such thing would not happen again and the brave writer should had ended his this third column with thanks to the Branch and his Editor who was a real brave man not afraid of from anyone he let the columns published with full name of the Bank not like what happens today editors edit as “a bank”, “a mobile company”.
