On this day in year 1999, Havildar Lalak Jan Shaheed demonstrated extraordinary valour by fearlessly repelling enemy attacks and defended his post despite sustaining critical injuries. Refusing evacuation, he continued to fight until he embraced martyrdom in the line of duty.

The Armed Forces of Pakistan and the nation, remember his sacrifice with immense respect and gratitude. His legacy remains a beacon of inspiration for present and future generations of Pakistan Armed Forces.

We reaffirm our resolve to uphold the sacred trust of the martyrs and continue the Shuhada-e-Pakistan mission of defending the motherland with courage, dedication, and honour.
