SHAHADAT
This Brought Goosebumps To Me... My Salute To Shaheed Major Ali Jawad Khan Changezi.
Major Ali Jawad Changezi was received at the CMH at 1845 Hours. He was hit with two bullets. One in his shoulder and the second one from an anti-aircraft gun which entered his abdominal area from the left and tearing his entire abdomen, came out from the right side of his abdomen.
He was bleeding profusely and the abdomen bullet injury is absolutely horrifically painful. I have had it and i know. It was nowhere close to an anti-aircraft bullet but still i remember my pain and my bleeding so i can probably understand it 1% of what he was going through. When he reached CMH he was fully conscious and he asked the Doctor...
"Roza iftaar hogaya quen keh mera bhi roza hai ?"
Doctor replied: "No sir it is 1845 hrs time is still remaining"..
After a pause Major Ali again asked: " Mein survive kar jaaoonga ya nahi ?"
Doctor replied" Sir aap ko kuchh huwa hi nahi hai, bilkul sahee ho jaaengay."
He was bleeding so much and whatever blood that was being given to him, he was bleeding faster than that. Then came the Maghrib Azaan and the doctor walked up to the Major and said.
"Sir roza iftaar hogaya hai"....

Armed forces on Sunday paid tribute to Captain Karnal Sher Khan, the Nishan-e-Haider recipient who was killed during the 1999 Kargil conflict, on the 27th anniversary of his death in a statement issued by the military's media wing.

More than two decades have passed since Khan laid down his life in the service of his country in the icy, inhospitable peaks in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

While many lone survivors faced the dilemma of keeping the fighting on, the ‘Lion of Kargil’ dashed alone into the Indian camp, killing several Indian soldiers before embracing martyrdom.

When his body was being returned to Pakistan, even the Indians talked of his valour—of how the young officer on a 'mission impossible' did the honourable thing: fight to the very end. Pakistan awarded its son of soil the Nishan-e-Haider.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, and the armed forces honoured Khan's "unmatched courage", "unwavering devotion" and "supreme sacrifice" in the service of the nation.

The statement said Khan displayed "extraordinary gallantry" and "resolute leadership" while defending Pakistan during the Kargil conflict, adding that he led from the front before embracing martyrdom.

ISPR said his sacrifice continued to inspire generations of Pakistanis and described his legacy as a "timeless beacon" of courage, patriotism, and commitment to Pakistan's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The military said the armed forces remained committed to the ideals for which Captain Sher Khan laid down his life, adding that his legacy would continue to endure in the country's history.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also paid tribute to Khan on his martyrdom anniversary, describing the Nishan-e-Haider recipient as one of the nation's bravest soldiers.

"The nation salutes its great and courageous son," Naqvi said in a statement.

He said "the mountains of Kargil stand as witnesses" to Khan's bravery and credited him with having "struck fear into the enemy" during the Kargil conflict.

The minister said of the officer, "who fought the enemy with determination, continues to live on in the hearts of the people", adding that Khan had "fought with exceptional courage and thwarted the enemy's designs".

He added that Khan had "written a remarkable chapter in the history of gallantry and bravery".
