So, can we assume that the previous “leaked contract” is the real thing?

20 J10CE, 10 WS-10B backup engines, 240 PL-15E, some repair parts, supporting training and services. Total price: 12.87 billion RMB.

If this is true, the price is indeed a friendly price. It is very close to PLAAF's internal procurement price.
It was a federal cabinet summery. So yeah we can.
It does suggest that the first batch is redirected PLAAF aircraft rathe than new builds.

Unlikely since they are from a different manufacturing/production batch
Contract was signed summer 2021. First deliveries were in spring 2022.
There are no other foreign operators.

Its either PLAAF or bust.

Bust, why not just the simplest explanation, they are indeed built under a separate batch?

I think there is nothing to doubt unless you think either CAC and/or the PLAAF is faking the construction number since they are clearly labelled J10CE01xx with their construction numbers, while PLAAF J-10Cs built in parallel are J10C07xx and J10C08xx.

Or the already under construction aircaft which supoosed to be say J10C0710 was reassigned to the PAF order instead and became J1CE0101 and J10C0710 designation was reassigned to a later aircraft.

PAF purchased a J10CE, not a J10C, they are not the same model.
Export fighters require retooling of identification and communication systems. Changing PLAAF's J10C to PAF's J10CE is not a simple job, it requires a lot of work and some time.It would be more efficient for CAC to produce J10CE directly.
PLAAF's demand for J10C is not large.CAC's production capacity is mainly provided to serve J20, and the production of J10C is maintained at 40~60 units/year. If PAF's order is urgent, CAC temporarily adjusts its production planning and can easily produce 20 J10CE quickly.

But why searching for a complicate explanation when there is a much easier one available?

Not exactly on topic

But the entire RSAF is divided heavily between being trained and based in the US , Australia and other places and trained in India.

Singapore considers China an adversary - so Im not sure I see the logic of an exercise and more importantly for this topic the relevance of it

Where do u get that Singapore considers china an adversary? If anything it's the opposite. China Singapore relation has always been great and most of the people there are majority han Chinese.Singapore is a tiny rich country that plays geopolitics well. The US as well as China love this tiny nation!

It is balanced but Singapore is wary of China’s attempts to exert influence over its domestic policies, especially given its ethnic Chinese majority. Beijing’s perception of Singapore as a “Chinese country” leads to pressures that challenge Singapore’s sovereignty.

It holds no such impression for the US - Singapore’s relationship with the United States is characterized by strong cooperation but also an awareness of the need to balance this partnership against its broader regional dynamics

Regardless - it is off topic and not to be discussed here - this is about Pakistan’s J-10CEs only
