JF-17s are better 1 circle and nearly match the F-16 in a rate fight. But cannot match it in the vertical.
dats cuz rates are done usualy near deck and plenty of air to gulp also LERX to the rescue
it becomes a problem for jeff when carrying 4 BVrams and slinging them above 25-30k
the thrust numbers drop due to thin air hence lesser initial velocity for the missile resulting in lesser range

saw this interview of a paf officer claiming they had 7000+ ghrs on rd93 but the company states engine life less than 4000hrs
i wonder what tune configurations the paf is running this engine

In the future, j10A will be replaced

There aren't many J-10A left. J-35 is coming into service real quick. Pakistan can potentially get 50 to 100 J-10C by 2030 to completely phase out F-16 A/B/C/D.

China doesn't have that much money to live a luxurious life. According to domestic media reports, the J35A is only replacing the J7/J8/J10A, and it is gradual. Some of the J10A have been equipped with AESA radar for mid-term life extension, which can transmit PL15 and can be used for a long time

The J10 is an excellent instant disc fighter in aerial combat, complementing our country's J11 series fighter (energy fighter)

China's plane manufacturing industry is enormous. All the J-10A are gonna be gone within a few years. J-10C are getting passed down to Pakistan air force by 2030.

The Su-27 is not too bad in one-circle(Instant Disk) combat.
But nothing beats the F-16 in 2 Circle(Dual ring) other than the F-22.

However, today's focus is more and more on BVR - and for that J-10C is an excellent platform. Given an even more powerful engine it could like the EF Typhoon also be better in 2-circle combat.

There is a reason they made a separate export version specifically for export, we don't know how much work is needed to convert a PLAAF version to a PAF version even if they were okay with older airframes which they may not be.

Has China ever sold or given away its retired 2nd-hand aircrafts to another country?
