any news on names and ranks of our brave pilots that did the roasting ? in feb 2019, the names and pics of the two pilots right away

The SAAB's datalink and communications protocol is based on the NATO standard Link16, which is not capable of controlling the PL-15E.

If it's not the ZDK-03 guiding the PL-15E, then it's the J10C's ASEA's LPI capability.
Pakistan uses indigenous data link-17 called link which can guide PL-15E from SAAB Erieye vice versa

You may not be well aware of the production process of fighter jets.

The main cost of the J-10CE fighter is the subsystems (radar and avionics, engines, cockpit systems, etc). It's fighter airframe doesn't have a high proportion of the cost. Also, most of the subsystems of the J-10CE fighter do not belong to CAC, or even to its parent company AVIC. e.g. the engine belongs to AECC, the radar belongs to CETC ......

If CAC closes the production line for the J-10 series of fighters, it's really only closing the final assembly line. Its production line for fighter airframe components would not be shut down, but converted to producing other components. The cost change for PAC to introduce the assembly line for the J-10CE is only related to the last step of the work (final assembly). This Its actual impact on costs is actually very small.
Of course, the PAC can utilize the machinery and equipment of the JF-17's parts production line, and after making some modest modifications and upgrades, it can produce airframe parts for the J-10CE (and may need to bring in some of the machinery and equipment as well). But this will affect the production of JF-17. Of course, PAC could shut down the JF-17 program and switch to J-10CE production.
But, raw materials for airframe manufacturing and other subsystems for fighter jets are still completely dependent on imports.

Based on actual productivity, this approach may cause it to be more expensive than buying complete J-10CEs directly from CAC.
You need to know. paf has used the oversized percentage loan method when purchasing the 20x J-10CE ...... 200x J-10CE is not something PAF can afford.
Requirement is 80 aircraft - 4 squadrons and converting the F-7 rebuild factory to J-10CE.

If the only thing pakistan needs to do right now it is to cooperate with chinese goverment on cross university colloboration. pakistan must pick the brightest mind in different fields and sent them to china for research. atleast 5000 students per year for research across chinese universities. these will benefit both pakistan and china. as china may also get another way of thinking from outside chinese people. Probably our students may also help advance china scientific progress in some fields but it will mostly benefit pakistan to have extremely capable people who can later come to pakistan and help develop pakistan indegenous defence tech
Last year china offered places to govt scientists and researchers in top universities like Tsinghua. these posts are usually made public through the Economic Affairs Division. This was done at the last moment, just 3-4 days prior to deadline. very few people across pakistan came to know of it, mostly those who had some contact within EAD. the seats filled were of public policy and agriculture etc. all electronics and S&T related slots remained vacant.

The Chinese didnt offer such a program this year, maybe due to the lackluster response of last year. IF they do offer such a program, it should be at least 2 weeks in advance, and all govt deptts across pakistan need to be informed by EAD timely.
