Spotted over Chengdu today. @Michael @Deino any idea who these are for?
This information has already been released by others.

Due to the angle and clarity of the photos and videos, I cannot determine whether these are J-10C or J-10CE aircraft.
The photos only show that the distribution of the yellow and green parts of the fighter jet is basically the same as that of previous fighter jets (meaning the surface materials of the aircraft have not changed).

I will wait for clearer information before conducting further analysis.

PAF has right now the IAF fully covered with its fleet as of now esp when you consider that they have lost 4 of their Rafales, some other Rafales are potentially damaged/written off that we don't know about. There is also the new news of a "own kill" which is also unknown. The JF17 fleet can take of every fighter in the IAF as of now in a BVR fight and the F16s will get an upgrade with new Link-16 terminals which will make them more potent.

In short, the IAF is not in position to take another dance with the PAF right now.

So, rather than a new J10CE squadron, PAF may want to take a "risk" with an early version of the J-35 in 2027 and not wait for it too fully mature. I think that is potentially the reason for the pause in procurements of both J10CE and JF17C's. PAF is saving aggressively for J-35AE's.

(imho).
I mean I get what you are saying but realistically we are not getting J-35's anytime soon, its too early and given the track record of PAF they will let the platform more mature before placing an order, we have seen this with J-10CE, Z-10ME etc. We may get 1-2 units for testing and PAF to give their inputs but that doesn't require a lot of funds, I mean on the night of may Air battle we were short on fighters, I remember initially we air our 42 fighters against 75+ IAF fighters, we need more modern fighters to cover from the South to North, there was no mention of Mirages & F-7PG's during the conflict which means PAF has a fear of losing them, so why not order 1 more sq of J-10CE which out perform any other PAF fighter in may conflict ? adding 20 units not only increase the numbers but also replace aging F-7's or Mirages.

Your estimate is wrong........yes PAF had 42 jets....but those were 42 with PL15 missiles which outranged the odd 18 or so Rafales of IAF........F-16s were also employed in CAP and their AIM120 out ranges anything on the MKI, M2K, Mig29s so if the Mig29s or M2Ks decided to do something funny, they would have been shot down really easy.

So PAF actually had more of the better equipped lethal fighters than IAF in the air.

Perhaps I'm just reading too much into blurry pixels, but based on @WaleedAhmQ's screenshot, this J-10CE is not only already grey, but it seems to have a flag (?) on the tail, which's position doesn't match that of the Pakistani flag on their J-10CE!

It does have the colors of the Pakistani flag, I see white and a another darker color which could be dark green.

Amazing now to realise the J-10C in that pic could take down the other two without breaking a sweat....
It actually did, in this 2023 exercise... the Saudi and Turkish pilots laughed initially at the claim of PL-15's 200 km range... they weren't laughing in the mission debrief.

tall guy sny news regarding j 10 or new induction ?
what i was informed i stand by it

20 ordered
16 option confirmed recently after Jun-25 war
54 planned

Total: 5 x Sqns planned with DACT Sqn

J-35 on back burner - no needed know urgently because India did not go for F-35
we have 10 years.

And what about the exercise with Qatari EFTs 😁?
The PAF pilots were briefed by an Ex-Greek pilot at the start of exercise. Also, it was conducted at Doha airport with many restrictions instead of other airbases. The focus was on employment of large packages instead of Meteor vs PL-15 combat. Though we have seen Rafale plus Meteor against J-10 in May.
