I have explained this issue in detail.

1. Technically, it's feasible!

2. PLAAF is unnecessary; it only needs to target the foreign trade market.

3. Economically, it makes no sense.

That is beside the point. For context, people are converting F-7PG into drones and upgrading Mirages with AESA, inducting J-16D in PAF and Pak Navy. Theoretically, this is doable with external pods and extra avionics.

The whole point of this video was to convey that we can't afford J-16D. Even if we go for a fighter based EW asset, most probably it will be J-10 based with J-35 in network.

It would make more sense to buy or lease, given that the J-16D being dual engine, will be able to generate the required electrical power for an EW variant. Leave all servicing with China, etc.

Creating an EW variant will cost money in the R&D effort, build, testing and validation and that will be spread out over a smaller number of units, which will make a J10CE approach more economically unviable. Development time costs a lot of money, esp to create a platform that will not have wide scale adoption. You will end up with a J10"D" costing more than a J16D for that very reason.

I would never say never when it comes to what China can or cannot do,, no one has that level of certainty outside of the very upper echelons of the Chinese government unless i am missing out on something here?

A downgraded version could well be exported.

We are entering the era of quantum computing, so the idea of encryption keys being "safe" will disappear into history until/unless quantum safe encryption keys can be developed, or there is constant changing of keys, such that you can be sure they are secure for a period of time. What about quantum communications ? I heard it can't be hacked.. . .... .... Apart from hangers, trained maintenance crews and pilots what are other infrastructure needs that Pakistan is lacking to induct fifth generation fighter ?

But his point is valid though. Regardless of numbers, the fact remains that while we love to repeat abhinandan episode ad infinitum, we shouldn't forget other parts of history.
