I just can’t believe the shallowness and incompetence of the current CAS. He can’t fly any of the current front line fighters. Jamal, abbas khattak et al used to solo. Even shamim took a rapid conversion course in f16 to prep for the flypast in 1983 and he was on the front seat of an f16b which means he was flying it. I have to say that our past 4 acms have been flying on the backseat which is very disappointing. Even Mujahid anwer flew gibs even though he is an experienced f16 pilot. Why???

No air chief was allowed to fly the F-16A for the March 23 flypasts. Solely in the F-16B with the a safety pilot in the back.

As to your why at the end, safety first because none of them have flight physicals to fly a fighter solo AND lack of flying currency to be trusted on flying solo. Safety matters first, and even the best have killed themselves (Noman 2020 crash is an example).

PAF's induction of advanced AEW, Extended Range BVR and HIMAD will now enable it to establish an effective no fly zone for IAF over Kashmir.On the same data link, the HQ-9BE HIMAD and J-10CE combo can choke air traffic flowing in and out of Kashmir.
