PAF J-10CE News, Updates and Discussion

Energy maneuverability theory derived from the experience of the Vietnam war, where A2A missile in its infancy performed poorly. The result is F16.

However, A2A missiles dominated the Middle East air war in the 70s and 80s. People realized that future air wars would be fought at supersonic and BVR. One way to have good maneuverability at supersonic is to use canard. That is why there are 3 canards fighter projects in EU and one in China at 90s . Another way is to use thurst vector.

Did any official over there confirm this specific airframe was for Pakistan?

No. Otherwise, it would have been discussed here and on twitter gazillion times already.

Most chances is that airframe is for PAF (considering the color scheme) but slim chance remains if that one particular airframe is being used as demo for sales pitch as only "CE" model. Regardless, PAF can get ~16 more J-10Cs within next 2 years and that will be all till 2030. (just my opinion)

I was wondering why the panel numbers? Apparently it is to ensure that the right side is matching the panel next to it after a maintenance/overhaul. Is it a practice on all aircrafts? I have never seen that before...

I would think so too since it looks like it can be all taken apart for servicing.
