With China moving towards sixth gen, everything else are on the table for Pakistan, there is really no need to argue about whether something is downgrade version or not, because both PL-15, PL-17 are almost a decade old and we knows there is a whole set of next gen munitions prepared for J-36, J-50.

China still has not built a ram engine air to air missile. J36/J50 by 2035s will revolutionary, especially with new cutting edge weaponary. China just needs to catch up with a powerful engine, another decade should fix this.

Yes J20 will be upgraded to 5.5th generation, it will incorporate some 6th generation technologies. For 6th generation China needs a powerful cutting edge engine.

I mean J36, J35 will equiped with WS-15 then WS-15 modified version and finally VCE.

I'm wondering, is this your analysis? Or a comment from a PAF pilot?

This conclusion, contrary to our view, is just the opposite.
We believe that the J-10C has a strong WVR capability and a weak BVR capability. (It is compared to PLAAF's active mainstay 4th/4.5th Gen fighters)

J-10 has good Alpha capabilities but struggles with drag.

It is great in the one circle fight but has issues with two circle fights.
