I think it's fine waiting for the J35

And I think it's fine prioritising J17s to export customers before the PAF

But with what's happening, we may need to up our order of J10C's and allocate and Induct more Block 3s unless the J35s are coming to us very quickly over the next few years

How many J10C china has ? I hear it was 600+ back in 2017 , it must be much higher now, that was like 8 years ago

Wikipedia still shows the count close to 700 J10C
China did also invest in other 4.5 generation craft & Stealth platform too

China does have quite a large fleet of J10C , our 30-40 planes of course are not in such large numbers (Depending on deliveries etc of course)
Compared to China , obviously china is quite large land

The advantage with J10C is of course you can increase the number depending on need

Pakistan on other hand has tried to Push JF17 Block I/II/III series closer to F16 E/F level which is pretty decent approach as well

Both platforms compliment each other quite well

700+ is the total number of PLAAF's J-10 series. This number includes all models of the J-10 series.

Currently, PLAAF maintains active J-10 fighters

The total number of J-10Cs is about 300, and the J-10Bs (already upgraded) are several dozen.

An unknown number of J-10Ss are also highly exposed. I suspect these aircraft have been upgraded, but there is no reliable public evidence.

A large number of J-10s and J-10As are already in the process of being retired. Currently, they are rarely exposed and the specific situation is unknown.

The J-10 series is positioned in the PLAAF as a low-cost frontline air superiority fighter. It is one of the PLAAF's current four types of main fighter jets.
