These hangars are from a different era.
I understand this is an old hangar. My question is:
The J-10CE is the PAF's newest fighter jet. Its hangar should also be new.
But this photo shows it in a clearly older hangar.
Has the PAF built a newer, reinforced hangar for it? Do you have any photos you can show?

look at the favourable price we offer J10c to you, where is the bribe coming from?
Favourable? PAF paid a standard price for the J-10C, also maybe $10-15 Million in bribes to win a $2 billion contract is nothing.

Depends on base, some bases are new like Shabaz and Bholari, they have modern HAS.

Kamra, Sarghoda etc need upgrading

I used DeepSeek to analyze an interesting problem.

If we use C200 UHPC to build a reinforced hangar, assuming the engineering structure is reasonable, how thick does it need to be to withstand a direct hit from a BrahMos missile?
Note: UHPC stands for Ultra-High Performance Concrete. C200 is the highest grade of UHPC currently available. Its compressive strength reaches 200 MPa.

DeepSeek gave me the answer:

A three-layer composite structure is recommended for the hangar.
Outer layer: 0.3-0.5m C200 UHPC
Middle layer: 0.2-0.3m buffer layer (can be made of foamed concrete or steel)
Inner layer: 0.7-0.8m C200 UHPC reinforced with steel bars
Total thickness: 1.2-1.6m

If a single-layer structure is used, its thickness needs to be at least 1 meter, but the safety factor is not as good as that of a three-layer composite structure.

This analysis is based on the basic parameters of the BrahMos missile, namely a flight speed of Mach 2.8-3 and a 200-300 kg high-explosive warhead. Both kinetic and explosive impacts are calculated. If the BrahMos missile's parameters are improved, this analysis will also improve.

Would be interesting if Indians used Brahmos to target a dn try and hit a PAF HAS, that way we would have real life information on it's effectivness

Again, fake accusations of bribe. Why would you pay bribes when Pakistan needed a system and Chinese provided it at a discount price per our financial situation? Can you prove this?

A comparable F-16 costs around $100-120 million with similar equipment and we paid nearly $ 40 million while a JF-17 block III cost over $ 30 million! So really we got the J-10C as if it's a slightly more expensive JF-17.

@MH.Yang @Michael @nang2 Please ignore this political propaganda to malign China-Pak relationships. They damaged Pak-China relationships before and now they are back at it again.

any back story?

i hear J-35 on back burner! current geo-political situation dictates, since India did not pursuit F-35, so we shall increase the number J-10CE

20 in service
16 more will come
54 more

total: 95

when are they coming . many members were saying they are coming but still no news . any guess ?

The whole thread has become toxic.
The bottom line is that no new F-16s are coming none were pushed through... no upgrades either. The J-10C remains the most agile advanced fighter in PAF inventory. US will not offer anything comparable or more advanced... in fact there is no comparable alternative to PL-15 to offer... the rest are in development and will take years to fully integrate.
China is leapfrogging the collective. In most technologies it already either almost there, peer or leading... the gap is only going to widen. There is an added issue of manufacturing or keeping pace with need and today the collective is lagging RUSSIA! Let that sink in!...
Zion is only held back on its ambition because of supply chain constraints. The whole war on Iran has been frozen because there is nothing to dispense... even though alarm bells are ringing and dire outcomes predicted... because Iran has not been contained... and a whole lot of sellouts have been lost! The baby king's whole card has been burned to the ground forever.... you think patsies are cultivated overnight?
In the coming decade there is little to nothing that can come to Pakistan from the west that it cannot acquire from China or Turkiye. The new policy paper therefore is reducing US footprint to match its capabilities. Fortress North America. A reduced fleet of both ships and fighters primarily focused on homeland. Europe is to fend for itself... and given the dire economic situation there they'll grow older than buildup a defense to Russia... and if they do end up fighting... it will be the last for many centuries to come.

J-35 is actually on front burner with full fire. The Qatar attack made this a higher priority.

What's also on the burner is to change PFX's outcome to what I've been suggesting for a while. Partner with China and build a single-engine 5th gen stealth aircraft. The discussions have just started on this topic also, so let's see what will be the final outcome.

I agree with everything you said. We need to have policies here in place to keep politics out of military related threads. Critical threads get ruined due to political propaganda.

I've been saying the same. US, Europe or anyone else, can't come near the capability the Chinese have provided to us. We are a generation ahead of Meteors and AMRAAMS. Why should we waste money on these old platforms when we can acquire the next latest tech? Time to join China and build a baseline of 5th gen technologies for PFX also.
