Do we know which unit will be the second J-10 squadron? Assuming both will be based at Kamra initially?

Initial deal is for 25 aircraft. There could be a follow-on purchase of 10-12 aircraft to complete 3 squadrons. Financial situation holds the key.
25 means 18 a/c in 15 sqdn plus ccs sqdn a/c of 7
Unless like early days of f-16 two sqdn of 18 each are stood up with ccs participation when all 36 or so are delivered

That is a very good explanation 👏

Hi,

Aesa equipped aircraft with modern EW system and a hobs missiles is an extremely training intense machine.

The pilot after coming thru the computer generated training module to the actual aircraft would have his work cut out for him---.

Unlearning non aesa fighting techniques---learing the popwer of aesa radar---data link---massive range bvr missiles as well as the new short range hobs missile---plus all the smart weaponry---will require extremely tough brain numbing training that will require the maximum number of aircraft to hone the fighting skills to the the maximum---.

CAIG/CAC J-10CE (serial 22-102) was one of the first six examples to be delivered to the Pakistan Air Force on March 4, 2022. After the second batch of six aircraft arrived in Pakistan on August 30, the nation's J-10CE fleet now stands at 12 examples. AVIC
Negotiations between Pakistan and China to purchase the Chinese-made, delta-winged multi-role fighter had been ongoing for many years until December 2021, when the former confirmed speculation that a deal had been finalised earlier in the year by announcing a contract for the acquisition of 25 J-10CEs. The first six examples (serials 22-101 to 22-106) landed at PAF Base Minhas (Kamra) in northern Pakistan on March 4, 2022, after a ferry flight from the CAIG/CAC factory in Chengdu, China.

This initial delivery came just eight months after the contract was signed on June 25, 2021. They were officially inducted into PAF service during a formal ceremony at the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) at PAF Base Minhas (Kamra) on March 11, this year.

When will the J-10CE be designated as F-20 as per previous understanding by the PAF?
