Would be interesting where they decide to base them - I feel Sargodha is now a bit too close for comfort to the border.

If money were no object (and it is the biggest object) along with security for the overall province having a airbase at Di Khan would be good centric point for putting both HVAAs and J-10c there.

The area provides workforce, has enough lines of communication and then also depth from most standoff systems.

While there is Nasirabad coming(whenever it does) - it might be ideal to put an actual MoB at Naal - behind the hills. So Nasirabad can work as FoB while Naal works as MoB.
Although I am sure families would be delighted to hear that "Naal ki posting ayi hai"

My guess is both squadrons in Minhas initially. The logistics setup is already set and after you train enough ground crew and have more equipment, the squadron can be shifted to a Western bases in 2-3 years.

Not sure about it , J35 are not too far into the future and we need some room for them.

I don't know where J-35 will be stationed but Kamra has a huge infrastructure including PAC. Anyway, let's wait and see.

Kamra would make sense. It has all the test and evaluation facilities and J-10Cs are based there, no US equipment or perosnnel are there either, so from a security point of view a good option.

We have to remember, even if we get a downgraded or different version to Chinese forces, every western intel agency will try and gain as much info as possible on these jets

Kamra, with its dual runways is favorable. You can be sure that any base where these aircraft are based, will be subject to very very extensive anti-runway denial operations( we saw how Saragoda main and only runway was taken out during Sindoor, delaying flight operation capability until it was repaired(unit of hours to do that)).

The jets need to be deployed at an airbase that has survivability built into its core design with layers of redundancy and a lot of the older PAF airbases were not built with that consideration. A single runway does not cut it in 2026 given the precision of modern weapon systems, you need redundancy in the number of runways, taxiways etc. The newer ones kind of do, with dual runways in Pakistan but not the same standard we see elsewhere.

Ideally the jets go to a new airbase, but they are damn expensive to build, so an existing one should be massively expanded with redundancy(more runways) and protection systems and ideally further away from the border as well.

Yeah, with assets such as these though I am really hoping we will invest in solid dispersal bases with modern HAS

Khuzdar has a disused runway that can be expanded and brought into use with acquisition of land around to build up sustainment facilities for the air base.
