Pak obviously does not have forex to pay, but Pak may be paying off using some other means. Contract of Saindak Copper-Gold project with MCC which also owns ~52% stakes in it. So far MCC has earned ~$2 billion, actual amount difficult to ascertain due to both Pak-China gov/mil policies.
Project has been extended.
Pak and China close allies, Pak provides a 2nd front engagement to India on behalf of China, it is by default also, but it serves massively to PRC strategic interests.
May advantages Pak provides are intangible, like recent J10CE, PL15E advertisement not just for sales but also a deterrent vis a vis Taiwan, the whole multi domain war theater.
Same relationships Pak had with USA with FMS/FMF, though it was transactional.

However, the Pak Deep State does have for it has got deep sources for financing. Even lurking at the cyberspace I can figure out the following sources:

• 70% of the Pak economy is undocumented running on cash

• A porous border with Iran
• Etc.

I didn’t take these anchors seriously. After @Maarkhoor claimed the same, I am inclined to take it seriously. It's plausible that the presence of these planes in Pakistan might be for evaluation purposes though.

Looks like these are deliberate leaks to reconfirm the Chinese intent and commitment for she knows it's like "Now or never" as far as putting her place under the sun in the context of the Trade War for the net level would be the hot war. Looks like the CCP wants to nip it at the bud at the Pak-Bharat theater to send a strong message to the capitals that matter.....

If the West wants to prop up Bharat further than is needs to take it all the way. The trillion $ question is it is ready?

People need to understand a key difference between Chinese and Pakistani military fanboys.

Chinese fanboys are mostly ordinary people/nerds/enthusiasts who rely on open source public domain info.

On the other hand in Pakistan the military is far more deeply rooted in society, a larger proportion of Pakistanis have connections that make them privvy to details the general public is not.

Moreover, Pakistan is a poorer country than China. Most Pakistanis (not overseas ones) are busy with making ends meet. The ones who have the luxury to discuss about military matters are either highly educated, wealthy, connected to military, or some combination of those.

Thus, rumors fly in Pakistan more than they do in China and the rest of the world. And in Pakistan these rumors generally have more credibility, even though they may be unconfirmed and at the end of the day are just rumours which cannot be proven publicly. It takes a keen eye to filter out the BS from the truth, but there is some truth, and the proportion of truth in our rumours is at least marginally higher than those in the rest of the world.

Some weapons deals with foreign countries have been compromised in the past because of PDF members running their mouths and allowing the Indians to pre emptively go crying to the west stop the deal. I'd advise Pakistanis to maintain OPSEC, this forum is crawling with 'guests'.

For Pakistan, J-35A acquisition will present several challenges.
Even if China provide at reduced costs, lifetime support, maintenance, spares, costs will be more than the planes itself.

Repair, and maintenance for stealth will be additionally difficult.
Fixing Composites, Airframe skin, RAM, will be costly unless Pak builds a separate infrastructure for repair and maintenance, which will be challenging in the absence of domestic mature know how.

This is while China has not finalized the engines, and still developing WS19 or any Western comparable engine.
May be just replace engine every 3000-4000 hrs!
How can an unproven, unmature turbojet can be installed in a 5th Gen Fighter?

Pakistan has to take the leap now, because it doesn't have a choice in the current situation. We may have sacrifice other areas to get stronger, which we do already but may be more is needed.

I am not sure it's turbofan available as a final product. WS-19 not yet reached serial prod stage, and WS-13 is unsuitable for stealth ac.

Pak deep state is army, and you seem correct about their deep coffers. I, however, don't trust them as illegal money only multiplies illegal and immoral conduct, that's why army/military has made Pakistan an enterprise for their BUSINESS, which is actually defending their interests. they defend Pak not as a duty but as a necessity when it deem require.

Deception acceptable when fighting enemy, Messenger SAW allowed it, but a nation cannot be built with the methods used by army, that's the reason Pakistan at the bottom.
Just Karachi could had an economy of $100 billion, if Army and, indeed other shallow interests from Punjabi and Sindhi aristocracy had not form this alliance to break Karachi's back.

Pak-india may 7 - 10 war has sent signals to USA, Australia that, Taiwan is a goner. China got massive publicity for its capability. Chinese are very wise, they won't fight a war if they can take Taiwan without crossing Taiwan strait.
