PAF J-35AE - News, Updates and Discussions

Bro, I have to say.
Mr. Gao connects with livestreamers from all over the world almost every day. He attends various forums and interviews in different countries. His own media platform sometimes runs ads too. Some Chinese people find this off-putting. He says, "My team members also need to eat."

Haha, what he says is a mix of truth and exaggeration—some of it shouldn’t be taken too seriously.

I haven’t seen him mention when the J-35 fighter jet will be delivered to Pakistan. He doesn’t hold a government position now. In fact, Chinese officials are very cautious—they neither would nor are allowed to casually disclose such information.

Various signs suggest that it will take at least about two years for Pakistan to receive the J-35. Maybe a bit sooner, maybe a bit later.😁
As per my best guess we will get these jets not before 2030.

For those who are thinking we will get J-35 with in months time are going to cry since China itself just build 7-8 aircrafts and those who are thinking we will not get J-35 are also foolish since we have spent lot of time and money on pilots training.

Some thinking about KAAN but as per my sources we are just working with them to get know how to build our own aircraft or at least full service tech for our Chinese jets.

We can't get KAAN since TAI using General Electric engine and re-export will met embargo just like ATAK helicopters.

Moral of the story is Pakistan definitely get J-35 but most probably after India induct either Russian stealth aircraft or US made which means not before 2030 or 2035.
Realistically I'm seeing J-35 in around 2030 — give or take a few years.

On the topic which you mentioned learning from 'KAAN' — I think this is the wrong approach. There is no cheat code to building the foundational infrastructure required to have the capacity to design and manufacture high-tech equipment like stealth fighter aircraft. You aren't going to send a few people abroad and suddenly be able to do everything in Pakistan. This is a very ignorant way of looking at it, and not sustainable.

If Pakistan is serious it has no choice but to slowly build that foundation within Pakistan from the ground up, starting from good quality STEM universities that produce regular high quality grads, expanding to modern research labs & machinery, healthy economy, etc. There are no short-cuts.

Working with someone who may have mastered the art would speed up our own process.

Certainly, I am all for collaborations with the Turks. They are intelligent and competent people from a practical standpoint — but my concern is that I hope Pakistan doesn't ignore building that critical foundation within our country itself. Sometimes I get worried they think sending people abroad to learn and then instantly they'll be able to do it themselves is enough, but it isn't. There's tons of infrastructure in the background Turks have built that allows them to reach what we see in flying prototypes.

I think the have already working to modernized KAMRA and aviation city. We have plenty of aeronautical engineer and have 10+ years of experience in building jets and have 25+ years of experience in re-building jets. Problem lies in budget and R & D.

We've not built a full 4th generation aircraft in house though. Half of JF-17 is still manufactured in China, then assembled in Pakistan.

And I've seen the infrastructure at Kamra, yep they are in the process of still building and modernising. But the quality of engineers and advanced laboratories in Turkey are at another level. Turks actually surpassed us very quickly because they built a strong foundation, they are already flying the Hurjet, while we still don't fully produce the JF-17.

Arrange same budget for KAMRA that Turks have then we can also produce top quality products. Problem is economy we need to pace up our economical recovery plus we need joint public private players also we have such companies that can work jointly at KAMRA.

Some prioritised investment should be made prematurely. One thing Pakistan does well is fight wars. We fight insurhencies, we fight Afghanis, we fight Lindu Indians.

Our one strong export potential as a security state should be military weapons. Investment and competency needs to be mastered here so we can supply ourself weapons and get some export orders.

We are supplying small to medium arms to many countries but we need to export big products like JF-17, MBT and other big stuff even now our cruise missile is ready for sale "off course" 290KMS and non-nuclear version.

But before building such stuff we need to pace up our own BMD system,

First of all Pakistan must start to work on engines from jet to tanks if we want to be independent in defense we need to build our own engines, first we can start from Tank engines.

Engines are the final end of the defence ladder, and are the most difficult and intense to develop.

First Pakistan has to master the earlier tech chain and build upwards. Design and manufacture fighter jet systems and airframes fully, and other weapons, then move into military engines which are the most complex.

The guy being interviewed is retired Air Commodore Khalid Chishti.

He has his own YouTube channel and normally claims he has exclusive access to Pakistan Air Force, therefore, to some he's considered as an unofficial PAF mouthpiece.

On J-35, he says the following:
  • PLAAF has not inducted J-35 yet.
  • J-35 is going through the last stage of trial and evaluation of its production (choice of engines and missiles are being finalised).
  • Pakistan has not agreed to purchase any J-35s while the aircraft is going through trials and evaluations.
  • Pakistan will consider J-35 for purchase once all the different weapons have gone through test-firing and it's actual performance is reviewed against what is claimed to be it's performance.
  • Pakistan is currently at wait and see stage

Thanks a lot since this is exactly what I Tell since months.

And what do our group of chearleaders say against now this credible post and the Defence Minuster‘s denial?

Will the J-35A still be delivered by Next month? @Zarvan & @maverick & @Maarkhoor please explain!!

Probably Pakistan already booked the order just like Gen.Mushraf did for J-10C but we receive these jets almost 10 years later.
Weren’t you the one claiming that 2 J-35s have already landed? PDF is pure circus, I’m enjoying it😂😂😂😂

It's not like Pakistan is going to put an order for 100 J-35. More like 32 at first.

If China is able to take annual production to 100 J-35 per year by 2027. It can start exporting 6-7 out of those 100 produced per year to Pakistan. Will still fulfill our order for 32-36 jets in 4-6 years starting 2027.

I mean it's possible and doable. Won't have to wait for 2030 to start receiving them. Just saying that the voices which are expecting deliveries soon may have some truth to them. But I do agree nothing till first half of 2026 is possible.
