Each of these aircraft had a minimum power of 2 aircraft in air superiority mode and possibly 4 aircraft under right conditions as compared top BLK 2 etc---.

Aircraft arent the immediate focus - AD and loitering systems along with BMs are to get the upper hand or "parity" at a minimum.

Even with additional Rafale's India will still struggle getting a longer stick so it too is focusing on networked ops - with much less enthusiasm for new jets.

AD is never enough. The United States has deployed its military focus in the Middle East and has been operating these bases for decades. But it still cannot stop Iran's missiles. Proactively attacking and destroying the opponent's missile base, or using missiles to launch, is the correct way to solve the problem.
