PAF SAM based Air Defense System - News, Discussion & Updates

Some Systems are already on the ground in certain cases and others in a year or so.
Tactics are also being considered on how post establishment of air superiority making launches of at least ground based systems untenable.

However, what India has in mind is going for the soft belly and gut punch with overwhelming force - that AD alone may not be sufficient to handle
Is soft belly ground incursion in southern sector / thar area?

True but such a build up of indian force CANNOT and will not go unnoticed. Only a couple of days ago the CDF Asim Munir while in Bahawalpur Garrison thanked China for helping Pakistan to develop its satellite capabilities aka early detection of enemy's movements.

You cannot buy a dinghy for the Navy right now - forget about any new purchases other than whats already in the pipeline.
Then how to defend against Brahmos armed CBGs?? Karachi and our surface fleet will be cooked

Yes......in which case Pakistan can target, very easily, Indian infrastructure owned by Tata and Adani and Ambani in the Rajasthan/Gujarat area.
Ground incursion should be dealt with Fatah Rockets and SOWs armed with cluster munitions

A lot of coordinated UAS and loitering systems being purchased by the east which are smarter than their usual fare - especially the Shield AI stuff @farooqbhai @side-winder @Ak01 . Not stuff that EW would have a sufficient impact to stop from making it to target or selecting a target of opportunity.

We will have to invest heavily in EW affordable hardkill systems. :(

Luckily, if we pull our weight, we can produce counter-UAS systems locally.

Do you mean Shield AI’s V-BAT combat UAVs that India is in advanced talks with Shield AI under a $4.5 billion emergency procurement program, with an initial $35 million deal for the Indian Air Force. This includes not just imports but also a rare technology transfer arrangement to enable local production with JSW Defence.

U mean pre emptive strikes on IN CBG??
I don't know about pre-emptive but CM-400AKG is a capable stand-off weapon. I guess it will be something like Naval Op Sindoor. If they fire, we target them and their aircraft can't engage us due PL-15.

If they fire
They start firing on Karachi and cause huge damage and on our ships and sink them as they have pathetic air defenses on them. Then we go around and start hunting them. Doesn't look good idea as Barak 8 looks better than atleast LY80N by huge margin.

smell the coffee, guys. Indians will only unleash like a million suicide drones and missiles next time. Their air force won't even appear on our screens. Our AD is average and won't be able to stand the sheer volume of enemy vectors. Indians will be ready with all the SAMS in the world for the PAF response....
