In 1990, Pakistan Television (PTV) produced a landmark documentary titled "PAF from the Eyes of Hussaini", showcasing the aviation artwork of Group Captain (Retd) Syed Masood Akhtar Hussaini.The research (Tehkeek) was conducted by Wing Commander Hali, ensuring historical accuracy and depth.The documentary also featured three legendary officers of the Pakistan Air Force:Air Commodore (Retd) Sajad Haider, SJSquadron Leader Javed Afzal Ahmed, SJAir Marshal (Retd) Khyber KhanThey shared their personal accounts of valor and sacrifice, which were powerfully brought to life on canvas by Hussaini. Their stories, combined with Hussaini’s paintings, created a visual and emotional chronicle of the 1965 and 1971 wars, immortalizing the spirit of the PAF.This production remains a unique tribute to the heroes of the nation, where art and history merge to honor the legacy of the Pakistan Air Force.

“The first UAV kill”

The painting depicts a PAF pilot in an F-16B of PAF No 9 Squadron “Griffins” turning back after destroying an IAF Searcher II UAV on June 7th, 2002. The PAF became the first airforce in the world to shoot down a UAV with a fighter aircraft using AIM-9L heat seeking missile.
