Sir this is a question I ask myself. We need to hit deep inside Afghanistan. Its the only way - covert infil and exfil. I mean SSG was modelled on the SAS and the SAS's bread and butter was such operations.

There was once a classic ISI-SSG styled operation where ISI operative positive ID'ed the target and give updated location to SSG. As SSG approached, ISI operatives would encircle the target.
SSG operatives dismount, apprehend target, everybody loads and exfil.

Now SSG are bodyguards for VIPs and then QRF which is actually the job of LCBs and cantonment security force.

Pakistan should just take over Wakhan as "security trade zone" and get the problem over with. At this point nobody will object to it. Yes its Afghan territory but whole Central Asia is Locked out coz of this little strip being in hands of aa bunch of crazy people one after the other. Once some sensible govt returns to Afghanistan, Pakistan can return it back and trade can continue.
