I guess PA is not going with the hot pursuit, which makes sense as there could be traps. Its a foreign land with foreign militia elements. Best to consolidate gains on the ground, and then exercise the next phase, if there is to be one.

Next phase should be complete and total border shutdown and sanction including air corridor closure. Then expulsion of all illegal Afghan refugees back to Afghanistan. Create a buffer state and expel all the illegals.

Afghanistan is landlocked and has no other options.

Personally I don't feel satisfied by this. Striking outposts is good and all, but why aren't UCAVs openly hunting Taliban fighters inside Afghanistan? After they directly attacked and martyred our soldiers we have all the justification in the world for that.

As it stands, nothing will change after this conflict. They will go back to supporting TTP and BLA and they won't hesitate against launching similar border raids in the future as well.

It's not a full blown war, Pakistan is conducting punishment strikes and targeted attacks against assets and bases that have been used against Pakistan

The Taliban are not capable of fighting a war, not against Pakistan especially

They are a guerilla fighting force

the Taliban does not have the money to sustain attack
It doesn't have the fuel and sending forces to the border burns through Afghanistans meagre fuel resources

The Taliban has limited weaponry and it's needed against it's enemies like Isis,
So sending it to the border for Pakistan to blow it up gives Afghanistan nothing


Winter is coming and even a few days conflict or border closures will hurt Afghanistan


Afghanistan Could collapse if this conflict goes on because they don't have the resources to wage a conflict, neither do they have support

THATS THE POINT

Pakistan has had enough of Afghan stupidity,

They have a choice Trade and peace
Or conflict and being hit

We want the BLA and TTP either destroyed or controlled


Is this the end of it, of course not, the Afghans are donkeys


But we have set the stage now and any attack on Pakistan will result in strikes against our enemies

The question is whether the Afghan Taliban will be willing to fight the TTP and BLA because of these strikes . In my opinion, the answer is no. They don't have any good options and would rather retain their legitimacy within Afghanistan and risk further escalation with Pakistan.

They have demonstrated enough utility to the enemies of Pakistan that enough money will be thrown at them to stay the course.

yes and Iran also exported their revolution and our country became a proxy war battlefield between the wahabis and shias. resulting in countless deaths and destruction. GCC and Iran mostly escaped this never ending Takfiri sectarian war but it brutalized Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan.

we cant teach Afghanistan a lesson because major part of KP agrees with and supports Afghan taliban its either on Ethnic basis or on Deobandi basis. and these two reasons ensure 100% support for Afghans and hatred for Pakistani state this is why the term Punjabi army is used as a slur for Pakistan army and this slur is used even by our KP heavy political parties.

Wow, those were comprehensively destroyed. PAF should take such sites out as soon as possible. Any military or militia, no matter how small eventually start acquiring means to shoot down aircraft if a conflict goes long enough. Its best not to listen to any pacifism and take out as much as possible so the Taliban can't recover.
