Pakistan-Af: Operation Khyber Storm

Playing with fire, the Americans couldn't pacify the Taliban in over 20 years, what makes the Pak military think they can? I hope they step up security in key bases, don't want to lose key assets like Erieyes or F16s to suicide attacks.

The fire has been playing with Pakistan.

Exactly. I fail to understand why don't we have atleast 2-3 Akincis on station all the time over Afg ready to react within minutes to targets of opportunity.
Lack of initiative? Unwillingness to escalate?

We should build a huge wall, block all trade and movement and bomb them every time they attack us.

Makes sense that we have an Erieye in the air controlling flight ops. This is not a one of air strike but sustained ops across the board.

PAF base security is an issue for sure, let’s hope they don’t get caught out again.

Sometimes you have to cull the herd, Pakistan finally has reached that point. It won’t fix the issue, but it will help manage it for a while.

Do we have visual confirmation of the neutralized target?

So what alternative do you suggest?
Bend over and gift kpk to Taliban while wr are bending over?
Assets are not more important than a whole province

All the sweet talks about a 'political solution' or 'our own people' are from those who have no answers except to hand over a chunk of Pakistan's territory to the Taliban to enforce their 'Shariat' like they did in the Malakand Division in the 2000s. And all those sweet talkers, politically cornered now, see an 'opening' to get back the power they lost by using such politically correct words but with not so hidden ethnic blackmails.

Pakistan didn't start this war. It was Afghanistan that imposed this war on Pakistan. Pakistan is just responding back
I would have preferred a non kinetic solution, do a deal with the Taliban...we know who these people are, we created them back in the 80-90s, make them turn on the TTP, if the TTP have no safe haven, they will quickly die out, the US adopted the same approach to eliminate ISIS. But if kinetic action is the last resort, the it needs to be intelligence led, surgical, and ruthless ...not only is the target to be eliminated, but the second, third, fourth in the chain, even their pet dogs. We're looking at a similar approach to what the Israelis are doing to Hamas. But above all, be well prepared to blowback, and more innocent Pakistanis killed in suicide attacks.

Sniper/JDAM combo still probably our best air to ground precision bombing capabilty I reckon, I know JF-17s have ASELPOD and home grown LBGs

It's probably more of a use it before it gets too old deal

F16s are still useful and have probably 10 - 15 years in them unless upgraded

Some of these weapons must be 2 decades old at least
