Actually that would mean war. We'll need to move troops from indian border towards western border. TTP from day 01 wanted Taliban and Pakistan to become enemies of each other. It will be happiest day for TTP if Taliban leaders get killed by our airstrikes that means we are officially at war with whole of Afghanistan.

I am sure, we were precise based on given intelligence. A random strike can do more harm then good.

We have air superiority. We will bomb them so hard if they tried, they would be burying their dead for weeks.

It would be the equivalent of Imperial Japan attacking the US.

My favorite rider was going to Kabul lol. I hope she is alright though

Yeah… tell me about it like we did when US was in Afghanistan directly involved with us to take these goonies out…. The first and very logical step should have been fortifying borders with more layers of security and taking out the corruption which let these goonies cross over here……
Such bold steps will only result in bold actions from the enemy and new wave of terrorism will start, then maybe Pakistan will be declared unsafe for having nuke again the same cycle of BS we’re fed up of…. i believe the sub human living outisde cantts, askaris and dhas will suffer a lot yet again…
Pakistan half assed it's approach during the US occupation.

Pakistan is not a foreign far off land, it is not interested in helping afghanistan in nation building. It will flatten Afghanistan.

"New wave of terrorism", what do you think has been happening since the taliban took over? Weekly attacks. Pakistan has experienced thousands of attacks yearly since the collapse of the IRoA.

And that’s exactly the problem... The top military brass rarely think long-term.. their actions/decisions, whether knee-jerk or calculated, are driven by short-term considerations, focused only on the few years of their own power and personal interests, without looking beyond... never considering the long-term consequences
However, I still believe Afghans, Arabs etc, behave positively under pressure and force (tribal patriarchy). Kabul is backing the TTP under the baggage of their past support or other reasons. Therefore, TTP should know they are not safe. Nonetheless, we have breached many things even if SA, US, etc were taken into confidence.

No, she would've left weeks ago. These are not released real time for the safety of the tourist.

I honestly dont get it we had so many afghans in the country for decades but we didn't actually create israel type spy network to infiltrate as a backup incase we needed it
I thought Talibans were Pakistani Pashtun who were in the north west of Pakistan for more than a decade. They were the jihadi from time of soviet invasion of Afghanistan and trained by Pakistan.
So for the 20 years the American controlled Afghanistan and the taliban couldn’t have survived without pak’s help.
Now they have control of their country they should reign in the ttp or other groups.

Of course there's going to be attacks from the TTP's followers. The question is, is it really all that different from the massive attacks they were already doing, killing dozens with each attack?

This was done to send a warning, not to the TTP who will continue on as usual, but to the TTA who Pakistan holds responsible for this.

The message is simple, continue on like this, and Pakistan will end the taliban's regime in Kabul.
IMHO, this scenario is going to be used by Indo-israeli-afghani Nexus to revert to the old model of terror ie targeting mosques, imam bargahs, bus stands etc. Sectarian killings and targeting well known scholars who openly denounce ttp (or even well known neutral figures like MTJ, just to be able to create as much of a chaos as possible)..

That's my biggest fear and that's what I think we will have to face as a nation.

Before someone says something, t hat's US delta force image. I think he's just using it as a general picture.

Yes, the solution is too let TTP take over and run all the territory till Swat. Negotiations, diplomacy have been tried for over 30 years too no avail. At one point 1/6 of Pakistan was controlled by them and that still wasn't enough for them. In the case of TTA who do you even negotiate with? TTA rules over Afghanistan via a fragile coalition of factions and leaders with their own militia. TTA will never take action against TTP because doing so would risk their own government. The message that is being sent to TTA is this: either you deal with TTP yourself or turn the other way when Pakistan targets TTP in Afghanistan.

Yahya and Ayub are long gone, yet Pakistan never recovered its lost territories.....

Zia is dead, but religious extremism and terrorism thrive....

Musharraf has vanished, yet the legacy of Lal Masjid and allowing US drone strikes still haunts us....

Asim Munir will soon be gone too, but terrorism from Afghan soil will only intensify and gain momentum...

Dictators think only of their own years in power... the destruction they leave behind lasts for decades...
