As I always say, talking is easy. Action on ground is always dictated by raw military power and an economy to back it up.

Those who think that cross border ops don't cost us dearly in terms of $, need to rethink. This explains our perpetual hesitation and restraint.

Whatever was done was done in good faith , I won't blame anyone for that..... hindsight is 20/20 ...we shall not do mea culpa based on that.

If assuming Afghanistan visit to India was in support of india makes the generals actually take action inside Afghanistan them this should be assumed. I am just mentioning the facts (if we had not supported usa against these lunatices would not be in this mess. These people just need a reason to blow themselves up as it seems) . The other 50 countries attacking Afghan did not border it . We do. But there is no justification to not escalate now. An action must be taken to end this fitna once and for all. And all effort must be done now. The strategy of accepting 20 casualties every two months has greatly misfired . Those numbers are now being reported every 2 days. Anything and everything should be done to force the Afghan Taliban to support us in fighting ttp. And people who are mentioning economic costs. What is the defensive treaty with KSA for?. The leadership must take the bold step of retaliating for every soldier whether officer or not. If afghan Taliban could not be forced to fight ttp then unfortunately there is no debate bo option would be left. They must be dragged into a conventional war. there is no option u can't accept 20 causalities every 2nd day and move on

Attempting to befriend an animal that the USA and USSR have been unable to tame is simply a no go. Let them try and waste their time. Reminds of this idiom i learnt at school....

Fence/wall same thing. Fence is probably cheaper. We should run electricity through it so when it is cut we can detect it.

Despite the fact that it was a shady, poorly executed deal, but what other option was available to Pakistan?

The myth that afghans can't be conquered, well they were wiped out in the first year of US invasion. If it was not for Pakistan's concerns about growing indian influence, the offspring of these munafiqoon would be herding goats in some mountainous region of afghanistan. Same goes for USSR invasion, you will always find Pakistan there to stop them from being conquered and enslaved totally.

The cure for afghan problem is pure humiliation, humiliate them and they will respect you.

India does not have any Afghan allies. They will give money to anyone willing to create trouble for Pakistan, whether it be Pashtun, Tajik, Uzbek, Baloch, Kashmiri, Mojahir, Sindhi or Punjabi - and from whichever country they are. It is up to the powers that be in Pakistan to ensure India does not get these opportunities.

India has Pakistan as a geographical buffer for any fallout from Afghanistan. If there is any blow up, it will hit Pakistan first.
