I really think until and unless the Afghan society becomes more educated, it maybe best to support anti-Taliban factions enough to take over the northern regions of Afghanistan especially along the K-P and Afghanistan border.
It is mind boggling as to why the Taliban govt needles Pakistan. There is no gain to be had. Even a CIA install like Hamid Karzai basically called the Durand Line a non issue.

Pakistanis should talk to Iran and tell them if Northern Alliance wants to attack Taliban well they can . There will be no more help to Taliban from us.

China now is sitting in a very nice place above Laddakh and I doubt they will allow Pakistan to be strategically defeated by India.
Also, one of major concerns for Pakistan was $$ to wage wars and even an Indian channel is saying that not only America/China are supportive of Pakistan's actions on Afghanistan but also the channel said the $$ is not a concern for Pakistan while doing so.

I have said this before, it is the Taliban and the TTP that control the escalation ladder with Pakistan, it is the TTP and Taliban who have deterrence against Pakistan right now, not the other way around. If Pakistan wants to establish real deterrence that the Afghans wont forget, it should simply reply that you can start it when you want to, but we will define when this will end, and it will end when we have achieved our military objectives. They should use this window to incur a real military cost to both the taliban and the TTP and get more than their pound of flesh for being such namak harami's /

The Americans bombed Afghanistan from the air for 20 plus years and didn't get anywhere.

This situation isn't going to end up for Pakistan.

We have TLP, TTP, BLA, and now Kashmiris upset with the state of affairs.

Flood victims and India waiting for an opportunity to attack.

The U.S is not a battle hardened army and it never won any direct war against anyone and their policies were never consistent. Don't underestimate our people. We have the same warrior gene as Afghans albeit a more disciplined one. We crushed them in the 50s and we shall do it again whenever it's necessary. As far as all these groups causing instability are concerned, they are a small issue if you take down abettors and master minds in Afghanistan

There's no strategic victory for India.... it's a masterstroke of Pakistan's strategic chess , India got exposed Afghanistan will be our b**ch ,... Pakistan was patiently waiting for this opportunity.

I was worried that we might be walking into a trap - but honestly this display of firepower likely will make the Taliban understand that they will should forget about any military relations with the Indians and not to sign onto anything anti-Pakistan related with the India.

Additionally, these strikes will be viewed in New Delhi with a weary eye. It will signal to them that PAF has no qualm about bombing fellow Islamic countries - so what are poor Hindus next door to us? This incident should also provide Pakistan and Afghanistan to comes to term and listen to each other's needs and wants. For better or worse, we are joined at the hips and need to work out the problems so Pakistan can get back to fighting the Indians but make no mistake, this has Indian dirty street-sh*t fingertips all over it. Their assets would need to get stomped out. One thing the Americans did well is exhaust the Afghans - they are tired of fighting and need peace and economic development. We can and should assist Kabul because its in our interests given the upcoming war with the pagan cowards next door.
