THINK TANK: CONSULTANT
This will peter out in a few days. In a conventional confrontation, the Afghans know they cannot sustain combat against Pakistan. The way to put Taliban on notice is that every time the TTP bastards carry out an attack inside FATA/KP or anywhere else, Pakistan should hit Afghan posts manned by the Afghanis.
This is a tough balance because Pakistan does not want to only use the stick with the Taliban because it limits Pakistan's options for the future but the recent upsurge in attack requires pain to be dealt to the hosts.
Tough balance but when the gloves do come off, the "phenty" administered by us needs to be tactically robust and consequential for the other side.
Also, each major TTP attack should be followed by pushing another 20-30k or so Afghan refugees back into Afghanistan. Easier said than done but it must be tried. I have my sympathies with these refugees but the bastards in Kabul simply aren't getting the message.
