twitter has gone quite, not much has been happening today!

at least, no whiff on the twitter

although, propaganda videos are trending

Negotiations ongoing

Pakistan wants or is demanding Afghanistan takes responsibility and adheres to agreements, with actions against TTP and BLA

And any violations will have consequences

If Pakistan keeps attacking, Taliban and Afghanistan may collapse and whilst that sounds great it may spark a humanitarian crisis

This extra judicial clensing is a symptom of much serious desease. That is our masses are emotionally damage. Every now and then, some notanky rises a d fools them. Educated u educated all are incapable of putting 2+2. Hence system is failing. And resultantly, extra ordinary measures.
It is because the system is not working as it was not designed to carry on with a foreign funded terrorism problem. This is why the NAP has to be implemented to get our bureaucracy aligned and courts, law enforcement, rehabilitation etc. all operating to address the issues on hand.

This is the Pakistani stance:

Pakistan warns of direct strikes on Afghan soil after cross-border attacks

Pakistan needs to increase financial pressure on the Taliban by sending a significant # of refugees back each month (for as long as the TTP attacks carry on).
Kinetic operations help some, but refugees put a serious burden on the wallet of the Taliban. As stated before, make the funding of TTP harder by making Taliban decide on where they want their limited drug/trade money going.
Not taking care of refugees will cause social unrest. Using TTP will lead to kinetic actions/strikes inside of Afghanistan.
Yes, there is a risk the corrupt, fassadi Taliban Mullahs will run to RSS fascists in India for baksheesh, but these are their choices to make if they want to continue killing Pakistanis.

Because when you bring terrorists in courts which generally struggle with conviction on any criminals since there is a call from a bigwig or the judge is threatened.

Even when they make it to courts - witnesses, evidence and so on either disappears, changes testimony or plain the guy is sprung before court date.

Not everytime, but most of the time.
The result is that the military decided it has enough and now acting like judge , jury and executioner. The problem with that is they don’t grade any crimes - it’s just a more institutional mob justice.
I remember in early days of 2010 or 2011 there was a suicide bombing in swat area and the main mastermind was captured. It turned out he was arrested a few years back for terrorism but court ordered to release him due to evidence being considered mostly circumstantial.

You think they care about people?

If they stop TTP how could they be treated like Shiv ling by padosi's?

You think they care about people?
It is not about "care" of the ppl. Guess what happens when every month 30,000 ppl start showing up inside of your borders with no resources? Crime increases. Social upheaval, infighting over limited resources etc. etc. I actually am not for this but Taliban have made an active choice to kill Pakistanis. As such all options need to be considered.
Pakistan would be the first to work with Taliban if they stop TTP from their murderous campaign inside of Afghanistan.

Just wondering why the pti members, families, friends, elderly relatives are treated as terrorist and picked up by na maloom afrad then charged under terrorism act ,so probably out 14k , 7k would attributed towards PTI yet they are the patriotic party of all the parties in the country.
Please see my post above and consider - when you have mob justice prevalent in an institution and it becomes the norm to bypass the existing judicial system which also cannot hold them accountable then it doesn’t matter what reason you exercise excess on.

However, to simplify it only to “unknown agents” from one institution is partly missing the rot in the system.

My cousin was picked up while holding a placard in a protest by Sindh Police - who then electrocuted him and so on. There was no one from the Karachi cantt office of aabpara or otherwise even present. It was plain Sindh police acting on the orders of Asif Zardari who agreed to participate with the heavy hand. Eventually his Commodre retd father was able to find him but was told to hush it out by white shalwar kameez as well. The simple reality was it was current establishment’s direction to stop protests but PPP implementation of that to their armed force( sindh police and others) that resulted in a young man scarred for life.

At the end the same could apply to regular Baloch activists protesting except in that case there probably isn’t anyone to save them so to prevent them from speaking out against torture because the agencies are looking for that 1 guy out of 100 to get information from - either they get silenced or they get riddled with bullets and dumped.

Now, don’t take this as a blanket statement because the earlier aspects of actual terrorists also slipping through the cracks applies where it may be beneficial to actually riddle them with bullets.

But it is a simple indictment of a FAILED state that has little in the way or working system that can provide justice at any level or any aspect of society. In such a FAILED state - in an UNJUST society - not only will anti state elements exist but that no distinction will exist in terms of rightful protest or terrorism because there isn’t a state but powerful people and their employees who aren’t accountable to anyone.

The only hope there is if one of those powerful employees is able to hold people accountable or that the state is burned to the ground in a manner ala Bangladesh.

That - is an impossibility for an artificial forced gathering of people as in Pakistan who have not yet truly adopted the identity or are simply too disenchanted with the state to begin with.

Remember, BD, Nepal and Sri Lanka was all led at the forefront by students or middle class.

You can kill 20 million poor in Pakistan and I guarantee that no mass change will happen until the middle class gets involved (Guess who were the galvanizing voters for PTI) . There is no value nor desire for change those poor souls can bring because they are too far down maslow’s pyramid to do much without getting direction from a class above.

If this conflict proves anything it is that the policymakers in Pakistan have failed in their 45+ years of adventurism in Afghanistan. That adventurism may have allowed a few people to make lots of US dollars but it’s only brought death and destruction to the people of Pakistan, not to mention millions of dead Afghans. It also cost Pakistan 4+ decades of lost economic growth.

After all those years of playing games in Afghanistan we’re back to square one. In fact, a much worse situation than 45 years ago .

If I was an investor I would be even more reluctant to invest in a country like Pakistan that is in a state of war with both its neighbors, is internally unstable, is led by mafia families etc.
