There is a tacit ceasefire in place right now. The other side is licking its wounds and doing damage assessment, however this is only till they instigate something else with their TTP proxies.

In Iran's case, both Afghanistan and Pakistan are brotherly nations.

As a foreigner and a member of the third party who cares about regional developments, i can see the bigger picture in the background. The only beneficiary of a war or a conflict between Afg and Pak is absolutely USA. Therefore emotions must fade away and both sides have to gather around the table.

I know for a fact, a weak Afg will be a launchpad of terrorists like before and weakening Pak will surely enable Zionists to grab more lands from Arabs esp KSA. Its interesting that it happened right after signing of KSA-Pak defense pact.

There are Zionist-aligned forces in the bordering areas between our countries namely Afg, Pak and IRI that got activated when Iran was at war with Israel. It solved a confusing puzzle in my mind. Those few elements are from amongst Iranians, Pakistanis and Afghans. I don't blame only one party.

So peace between Pak and Afg is the need of hour. Any and every kind of instability will directly inflict damage on all of us. ISIS-K, stooges of colonial powers, will find a free space to rise to breath again and USA will make them an excuse for returning into Afg. Maybe an other 11th-September style?

They want to return and make sedition. Trump actually wants to surround Iran from east and west and simultaneously have presence in the Chinese and Russian backyards. War between Pak and Afg was the worst case scenario and also unbelievable.

Let's hope and pray for peace.

Not to mention every loss of life on both sides is a cause of sadness.

The situation with afghanistan is such that, where you raise a territorial dog, you feed it, you love it, you pet it, keep it unleashed and let it mark territory inside your house .. and think this is all and enough and the animal should respect you in return and be loyal. Are you one of those individuals who believe that the Taliban is a Pakistani creation and somehow Pakistan has a god given right over Afghanistan or Pakistanis are their keepers?

Pakistanis would appreciate a sovereign independent Afghanistan which does not host anti Pakistan elements within striking distance. Otherwise whole of Europa and the rest is filled with anti Pakistani elements under guise of one argument or the other. I don't see Pakistani jets bombing Switzerland or the UK targeting known terrorists roamimg freely.
