They say Afghanistan has never been conquered

They can fight a guerrilla war for decades low intensity ...

You people don't have the hundreds of billions of dollars that this would drain surely

I would appease them quickly

The Indians will definitely use them as a proxy in my honest assessment

Especially Tit for Tat scenarios

I wonder how the Sikhs managed to rule them up to Kabul then.. maybe its a different parallel time line?

Stop the bs indian version of fearmongering, this chooran is not going to sell.

For them to fight their guerrilla war, they have to cross the border and come to Pakistan. And to be successful they need someone like Pakistan to help them. Do you realize the errors of your analysis?

- Quite sure we are not looking forward to 'conquer' Afghanistan, we will stay on our side
- The Afghan Taliban are going after conventional warfare against us on the border so it is quite obvious that we will always crush them, they CANNOT match us in a head-on clash
- Any major attack in Pakistan, if claimed by TTP or its allies, we might see the Afghan Taliban/TTP warriors getting wiped out in their border posts by our airstrikes so this will probably be the 'new normal'
- We will most likely just use our Turkish/Chinese supplied and indigenous drones if this fight turns into occasional clashes, costly but not even that costly... heavy strikes through jets on HVTs/points
- Indians will be ass-handled by the Americans if they did any of that bullshit by straight up funding TTP, Daesh, TTA, HGB, etc.

So what is exactly going on here? What is the cause behind the Taliban/Afghanistan and Pakistan hostility?

Very strange looking at this from the outside. I recall that Pakistan played a key role in keeping the Taliban/Pashtun factions alive during the USSR invasion in the 1980's as well as during the US occupation not long ago.

Is it all about Afghanistan not recognizing the Durand line and them wanting to annex the Pashtun majority areas of Pakistan?

Quite a mess anyway with India also being involved. Strange bedfellows, Modi's India and Taliban.:ROFLMAO:

Arabs conquered Afghanistan and Islamized it. A total myth that it has never been conquered. Before that, Greeks. Afterwards the Mongols.

seems there is nothing much to celebrate!

sorry, truth hurts!

i think they have a weird obsession with all these 'trousers' or 'patloon' snatching and displaying... i mean anyone can literally snatch a uniform in any small post which was probably overrun by these cavemen, how is this a BIG deal? The Indians have their F-16 shootdown obsession and I have always seen these cavemen and their followers with this patloon snatching and displaying obsession

If you don't know what happened between Pakistan and Afghanistan borders recently, here's more details (previous post# 1,882)

Full Details:
Pakistan–Afghanistan border clashes are neither sudden nor unjustified.

When the Taliban took Kabul in 2021, the entire world vacated its embassies, Pakistan kept its mission open and even acted as a conduit for evacuees during the chaotic withdrawal.

In the post-US withdrawal UN-led conferences on Afghanistan, Pakistan consistently called for unfreezing Afghanistan’s $9 billion assets, and even used regional forums like ECO to lobby for the same.

Pakistan hoped for peace and stability. Instead, Afghanistan became a safe haven for TTP militants.

Yet, despite repeated betrayals, Pakistan tried every peaceful route. It engaged the Taliban regime through religious, tribal, and official channels.

In July 2022, an 8-member ulema delegation led by Mufti Taqi Usmani visited Kabul to convince TTA and TTP to stop attacks. A few days later, a 17-member tribal jirga also went to Kabul with the same message.

On February 22, 2023, a high-level delegation led by Defence Minister Khawaja Asif and DG ISI Lt Gen Nadeem Anjum visited Kabul to push for peace.

In July 2024, Interior Minister Naqvi led another delegation for security cooperation.

Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts weren’t empty words. Special Envoy Muhammad Sadiq worked to enhance trade ties, leading to the Early Harvest Programme (EHP) reducing tariffs on eight key agricultural items to benefit both sides.

But what did Pakistan get in return?

According to Pakistan Institute for Peace Studies (PIPS) data:
•2021: 89 attacks
•2022: 262 attacks
•2023: 306 attacks
•2024: 521 attacks
•2025 (Jan–Oct): 585 attacks

The worst betrayal came during Pakistan’s 4-day war with India in May 2025, when Afghanistan sent a 40-member TTP tashkeel, including the son of a Taliban official, to attack from the western front.

What triggered Pakistan’s recent strikes? Just one day is enough to understand.

On October 8, 12 soldiers, including a Lt Col and two Majors, were martyred in IBOs in Orakzai and D.I. Khan, carried out by TTP militants from Afghanistan.

Pakistan’s patience had run out.

Pakistan’s recent strikes were targeted and precise, aimed only at TTP terrorists being hosted in Afghanistan.

How did the Taliban respond?

By sending groups like Tahaffuz-e-Imarat-e-Islami Force (TIF) to attack the Police Training School in D.I. Khan, martyred seven policemen, and by launching a full blown cross border attack across Af-Pak Border.

Now decide for yourself.

Is Pakistan the aggressor, or a state defending its people from cross-border terrorism?

Should push further and annex mote Afghan territory

Yes Insha'Allah

If Afghanistan (talibanu) is still not cooperation with Pakistan, we have to expand it further to Tajikistan borders more than this below.

If Afghanistan really wants beef with us and doesn't formalize border then Wakhan is a no brainer, it will be a better access point for China and Central Asia as well.. Once we border the Tajikistan, I guarantee you would see better relationship with Afghan Tajiks... Afghanistan will loose all strategic position and they can keep licking the mountains that their ancestors licked... Maybe the minerals will cure the infamous " keerra "... Quetta shura must be given a proper taste...
