Could it be that they are failing in running the state and now making Pakistan a scapegoat?

Afghans have always done this.

Their internal issues start piling up, so they start looking for external enemies to unite their shit nation.

True, But I was considering that the Trail Cams be used in the static defense modes freeing up the expensive NVG in short supply for offensive purposes. I am a hunter and we use these trail cams affixed to static points to detect deer in pitch dark very effectively; though coupling trail cam feeds to a telescopic or holographic sights is illegal for hunting purposes.
Good point, but I assume Pakistan already does this to an extent already.

The purpose of nvgs is to give individual soldiers (especially SpecFor) to be able to conduct offensive operations in the night, usually behind enemy lines.

Old tactic. I remember writing an indoeth post on the crisis ordinary Afghans face but got trolled by some pro Taliban people here.

Hope they can see the wood for the trees. But I highly doubt it.

Degradation of Afghan hostile capability is key ( especially destroying Indian Assets on the ground). Be patient. Technological asymmetry lends itself to a forward defensive strategy. Taking over land in square kilometers should be the goal. That is an attrition disadvantage against guerilla tactics. Rather subtle shifts in positions to take over any posts that give a topographical advantage would be more sustainable. Especially if these positions have oversight covering known smuggling routes.

To be honest if mines and cluster munitions weren't outlawed by treaties, thet would be of great utilitility to deny them geographic access.

Afghanistan is India and India is Afghanistan this point onwards.

People tall of ethnic regime change and this is almost always a bad idea. We simply need them to realize that continuing to targer Pakistan is a fundamental existential threat to them AND that we are trigger happy to make it happen.

A systematic economic and logistic chokehold will do the rest.

We picked them up, dusted them off and embraced them only to walk away with a knife in our back. This is worst than Kufar, its Nifaq.

At the same time it is important to protect our own from any ethnic backlash. This is as much a civilian test as it is Military.

But let us not become animals asking for the dearh of innocents, or wholesale ethnic cleansing. I understand how infuriating it is to see why thet have done. But remember one fundamental difference between Pakistand and both irs neighbour's- thr ability to see humans beyond their DNA. We are a diversely rich nation precisely because we can separate the guilty from thr innocent based on their actions in our minds. Call for no mercy to each every afghan who is armed and trying to harm Pakistan, but just as easily call for the sparing of the innocent. It isn't about who they are. They have shown us that categorically and we will not forget for a long long time. Its about who we are.
I might be wrong but i dont think we're party to any agreement against mines.

I remember in the 2002 military standoff between Pakistan and India, 138 Indian soldiers died standing on thier own landmines.

UN Report Confirms Afghan Taliban’s Ties with Global Terror 🚨

The 36th Report of the UN Analytical Support & Sanctions Monitoring Team (24 July 2025) exposes how Afghanistan under the de facto Taliban regime has become a safe haven for multiple terrorist groups including Al-Qaeda and TTP.

Al-Qaeda fighters of Arab origin remain active across Ghazni, Helmand, Kandahar, Kunar, Uruzgan & Zabul, operating several training camps, three of which are newly identified. These facilities reportedly train both Al-Qaeda and TTP militants.

TTP, with around 6,000 fighters, continues to receive logistical & operational support from the Taliban regime, giving them access to advanced weapons and increasing the lethality of their cross-border attacks.

Once again, the UN verifies what Pakistan has long been warning: Afghan soil is being used as a launchpad for terrorism in the region.

Special forces, ANF, some other uints such as SoG all have thermal, FLIR and NVG. But people think NVGs are some panacea, they really arent.

Require a lot of training, maintained and cost. Also dont prevent a small agile force that can infiltrate and take up a position of advantage to pick off static sentries.
