Probably true.. only issue is that military high command doesn't care and will probably be besties with them in few weeks

We should be more worried about the living.. IMO

Afghanistan have been conquered more times than i can even remember. The only thing is that no one wants to stay in that hell hole of a country.

Exactly. This whole graveyard of Empires thing is such BS. The USSR breakup had nothing to do with Afghanistan. They left coz they had more urgent matters at hand and they had plans of turning into independent states anyway. Likewise, the USA did not collapse, they got fed up of the bahaviour and left. British Empire largely ended around 1960s due to their own inability to keep up with it, no role of Afghanistan there either.

My Father used to tour different countries on his bike and he told me that in all his travels, Afghans were the most Darpook Quom he ever saw. They would be fine as long as they are firing their guns on their own. But someone throws in a firecracker from outside and they would all jump off and disappear within seconds.

UNHCR deportation and returnee data as of October 4th:

HIGHLIGHTS

Clashes in border areas led to a temporary pause in returns during closure of border points, with UNHCR’s High Commissioner calling for rapid de-escalation for the sake of those impacted.
As of 4 October, over 2.2 million Afghans have returned from Iran and Pakistan in 2025.

On 2 October 2025, the UN in Afghanistan, including UNHCR, has adopted a new, harmonized approach for reporting on returnee figures from Afghanistan. The aim is to ensure consistency across agencies by using consolidated data sets and relying on country of arrival figures.

Afghans remain in a precarious situation in Pakistan following the end of the grace period for Proof of Registration (PoR) cards on 31 August, putting many at risk of arrest and deportation.

The Afghanistan situation remains critically underfunded, with only 35% of the required $478 million for 2025 received. Additional support is needed to scale up the response to multiple emergencies. UNHCR’s updated regional returns appeal calls for $258.6 million.

graveyard part is right though

The 'empires' had no interest in staying in that God forsaken land. They went in, conquered, plundered, looted, raped, killed and got killed. But all those 'empires' remnants are still far better than the modern 'graveyard' called 'Afghanistan'.
Afghanistan due to its severe lack of human and natural resources has become what it is: A 'nation' of extremely deprived, backward people ready to rent their manpower to kill each other and their neighbors for the right amount. Those cannon fodders dying like flies in last few days had no hopes in life but to work for a 'cause' which was not hard to 'sell' them.
PS. To understand this conflict, watch a relatively unknown Pakistani analyst Firdous Iftikhar; brilliant guy.

When you see the coward afghan **** refugees in Germany, you know how the Taliban easily reconquered the country. They can‘t even defend their own asshole.

they are very loud mouth usually and spare no second in highlighting, they have served you, in the best unknown possible way!
