Pakistan-Af: Operation Khyber Storm

In my opinion, Pakistan has the ability to capture

Kandahar from Chaman Border
Kabul from Peshawar.

Both are less than 130km away. If we capture one of the two major cities, we can force Taliban and/or stakeholders in Afghanistan to come to negotiating table. Then Turkey, Saudis, Qatar can guarantee ever lasting peace with Afghanistan committing to no profileration of terrorism into Pakistani territory or else Pakistan reserves the right to target Afghanistan as well as accept Durand Line as the permanent border in exchange for return of Afghan soil back to Afghanistan.

If they don’t agree that we can create a buffer zone from Peshawar to Kabul or Chaman to Kandahar and move all Afghan residents from Pakistani soil into that buffer zone. Pakistan being the neighbour is not going anywhere so Taliban will realise the long term implications and come to the negotiating table. It will of course result to increase of terrorism in Pakistan until this is resolved but then we have witnessed terrorism for 25 years already
Capturing means to open supply lines, protect road routes between Pakistan-Afghanistan and also stand guard of the city which can be over run from all sides. Pakistan cannot just supply two different formations in two different cities from helis all the time where as the lines of supply will be susceptible to ambushes all the time.

Talban will as usual run into the caves where they had already setup their system of rations, supplies, housing etc for all the 20+ years when ISAF was here and then the attacks will start on both captured cities.

Pakistan Army will only be confined to cities where as venturing outside would mean attacks and ambushes. There will be daily attacks on the cities where Pakistan Army will be deployed. To thwart those attacks, first light infantry will be deployed and then on artillery and other heavy weapons will be deployed. That will further strain the logistics.

Taliban and TTP will be trying to kill and injure numerous Pakistan soldiers everyday since Pakistan Army wil be deployed as airborne troops - surrounded from all sides with only the air channel open for helicopter landing or aircraft landing at airports. Additional PA formations will be required to keep the supply roads open and protect the convoys coming from Pakistan.

PKK/YPG did the exactly same inside the mountainous region in the Northern Iraq. Thanks to the drone with intelligent and high resolution imaging those hideouts could be detected and they were smoked out like rats....

Update:

Afghanistan lost its all diesel and petrol resources and since Iran closed its border in solidarity with Pakistan so no fuel available to run MRAPS.

And due to strikes by Pakistan.

@RescueRanger @Panzerkiel
Was it solidarity or self preservation? If it was solidarity it makes me happy. They have remembered the Pakistanis stood with them when others did not. Clearly a rare trait in nations these days.

they also hate afganis rn just like us they are sending Afghan refugees back .

What can I say? Where should I start?

We, educated people, treat the constitution of the country as toilet paper, so we can’t expect those in power to respect it if it doesn’t suit them.

The prime minister of the country can sack anyone he likes and make anyone the chief of the army. That’s how it’s supposed to work based on our constitution.

Asim Munir doesn’t have to bring Imran Khan back to power. However, elections must be held and power transferred to a legitimate government. They would be in the best position to make decisions about who to be friends with and who to fight.

If you add up the number of people living in dire poverty in Pakistan it would be more than in Afghanistan. That’s because we have almost 6 times the population. It’s not that the rulers of Pakistan have made the country prosperous. Now, with this war, I can see any little investment in Pakistan fleeing for the hills.

So, while the people in power may become stronger and richer I can imagine the country getting even poorer.
Offtopic but valid points

because they think its their duty to conquer kpk and Baluchistan and impose their version of islam
This is why Afghanistan will continue to be a shit hole. They seriously lack education and are stuck in the Stone Age. They will not prosper while the Taliban runs their country. Problem is they prey on those illiterate and from small villages.

Ability to capture yes, but not hold. The cost of attrition would be too high with little value generated. A lesson others have experienced before us. The current strategy of degrading capability is better I would suggest. Eventually an economic chokehold would turn their population against them, but the humanitarian cost would have to be kept in mind. That much said, it is a very minor concern when they do not consider the life of our soldiers and civilians sacrosanct.

Reasons why we don't have any captured talibunnys :D

Im sorry but this is not something to be celebrated. I am seeing a lot of celebration od how they are experts at running. Yes they are. And they have used this single technique to lethal affect. An organized army that prides itself on standing its ground does not understand this. A few trousers sitting around is a few less guerrillas dead. They will engage you in a circumstance of their choosing and suddenly these trousers won't look so funny any more.

They have to be eliminated. Just making Mocking videos of them running is not the long term solution. We have to shift tactics so they are not successfully escaping.

yes they are getting away and attacking again that's their strategy

Why does the Taliban refuse to rid their hands of the TTP?

The solution is clear.

It’s a trade off situation for the Taliban because they are not stable and do not fully control the country.

So, they allow the TTP to conduct terrorism in Pakistan while looking the other way, hoping that in return the TTP won’t cause any trouble for them.

It's a bad deal anyway you looking at.
