Although it’s off topic on this thread, since several people have posted on this subject, I’ll say something as well while we wait for the war to restart, or end. This subject can be discussed in more detail elsewhere.

The Indus Valley Civilization was mainly created by Ancient Iranians with some Ancestral Indians. IVC existed before the Aryans. Today Ancient Iranian DNA is very common in both countries. There’s no clear border in the DNA of Pakistanis and Indians. It’s more of a smooth transition.

In my view, instead of trying to create a new mythology about Pakistan being totally different from India based on ancient history, it may be better to stick with the fact that we’re Muslims and they’re not. Otherwise a lot of contortions are required to distinguish people of the two countries.

Anyone wanting to debate this may create a separate thread.

Pre-47 they launched Jamat-i Ulama-i Hind (aka servants of the Hindu Bharat under Congress). Those bastards raised a mayhem in my home district Sylhet, which was about to go into a plebiscite, to decide whether to join Bharat or Pakistan. Sylhet was at that time a part of Assam. These Melun-el Melun, receiving bribes from the Hindu businessmen, wanted the Muslims to vote for the Hindu Bharat! And, they were doing riots TLP style....

Pressured hard to do what? Taliban know that in a conventional scenario, they cannot do much and will take damage. The ceasefire was a military compulsion for them. But that does not mean that Pakistan can take that for granted. Ideally both sides need to agree to eliminate this irritant.

Any counsel from fellow Muslim countries is good. However, there is a clear transgression here. Saudis/Qataris all know who Taliban are harboring.

What is Pakistan doing to the Taliban that they cannot reconcile with? Their issue is that they want to use TTP to take over the state of Pakistan. It is as simple as that. We have no designs on Afghan territory. Pakistan is not conducting "drone attacks" on Afghans. We are not blocking their trade, we have done nothing but stay the course as a cooperative neighboring country.

The agenda of the Taliban is expansive and it is about exporting their ideology into Pakistan and beyond. I doubt they will listen to KSA/Qatar.
