Looks like the "Turkish Solution" is the only solution left.....

Create a buffer zone wide enough to put all the Afgan refugees back there. Create a sort of government there. Extend robotic non-contact warfare to its limit to take out the Taliban leadership, foot soldiers, C&C centers, logistics, comms, business interests etc. on a 24/7 basis. And, all are done with a clarity of mind and singularity of purpose....

boy I love how Saudis have dealt with them. if there was any appetite within Saudi society to speak in the favor of Daesh or Al Qaeda, it quickly died out and vanished forever.

no one justifies enemies of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and I salute the Saudis for that. I can only wish that it happens in Pakistan but here we got Mehmood Achakzai, Manzoor Pashteen and Mahrung Baloch who are even supported by Punjabis despite all these three hating on Punjab and Punjabis as their way of life.

We lack national unity, we are divided among sectarian lines and now ethnic lines are all showing up, I won't say its a new thing it always exists in Pakistani society, the problem here is that 2 ethnic group take their ethno-fascism to a point where it becomes a national security threat, but Pakistani's are generally stupid bunch.
Living in USA for 5 years teach me one thing, you can become a Great country if everyone united when it comes to national security issues, example I can give you is that to this day I see banners of Never forget and 9/11 even in very left and liberal areas, from a hard core white nationalists to a Girly Gay men all have a consensus that 9/11 was attack on USA and we did the right thing starting the wars, every time America soldier die even when they are in Syria protecting some shady stuff Americans unite to ask for revenge against those soldiers, now compare that to Pakistan you lost 17-20 soldiers in one attack and several members on PDF, and including Title holders aka Pardhe likhe log were blaming Govt/state and everything but Terrorism, and hence I say that Pakistan will never ever have peace, we may have few years here and there but complete and long lasting peace won't come even if India is disintegrated, and Afghanistan is wiped out because a big part of the problem is that we as nation are burring our heads in sand and no one wants to talk about the real issue and those who do are often banned on forums and killed in real life.

These talibs really thought they could keep attacking Pakistan through their proxies, expecting cowards across the border to keep giving them unconditional support while they plot our demise with India.

They tried to destroy our relationship with China by targeting their people and CPEC, and already did wrecking ball on our ties with the US during WOT.

Finally we no longer have leaders who follow policy of appeasement and short term wins for long term pain.

Although it’s off topic on this thread, since several people have posted on this subject, I’ll say something as well while we wait for the war to restart, or end. This subject can be discussed in more detail elsewhere.

The Indus Valley Civilization was mainly created by Ancient Iranians with some Ancestral Indians. IVC existed before the Aryans. Today Ancient Iranian DNA is very common in both countries. There’s no clear border in the DNA of Pakistanis and Indians. It’s more of a smooth transition.

In my view, instead of trying to create a new mythology about Pakistan being totally different from India based on ancient history, it may be better to stick with the fact that we’re Muslims and they’re not. Otherwise a lot of contortions are required to distinguish people of the two countries.

Anyone wanting to debate this may create a separate thread.
