The Afghans have no Islamic seminaries or institutions, nor have they produced a single Islamic scholar, poet, philosopher or literary personality. So the only institution they can flock to overseas is Deoband.
It will be interesting to see Taliban refugees on "scholarships" entering Indian madrasas in droves radicalizing the environment there . Their radicalization efforts would have been without result in a different era. Now with the Hindutva regime brutally murdering, and lynching the marginalized illiterate, starving, wretched ghetto slum dwelling Muslim population, the result of Taliban radicalization will be extremely interesting.

It's time Pakistan starts devising more long-term solutions and campaigns for Afghanistan. Isolated strikes won't cut it for long. Structure and planning and goals are needed.

Afghani transit trade halted. Refugee deportation drive speed up.

But on top of that we need Afghanistan policy. No more regime change BS. We don't care who rule Afghanistan, if they attack Pakistan then all of them suffer. As Pakistan kill Taliban leadership and ANA or some other group take over then so be it. But that group will have to take care of cross border terrorism or get bombed again.

Afghans under Ahmed Shah Abdali defeated the Marathas at the Third Battle of Panipat on 17th January 1761. CE.
That was the only offensive campaign in recent history the Afghans won (albeit under Persian command), since the Ghurid empire pulverized the Hindu kingdoms all the way from Ghor to Bengal. At the second Battle of Tarain in 1192 CE Prithvraj lost his head in more ways than one.
That about sums up all the offensive victories the Afghans have ever had,

The saga of Afghan defeats over the ages is depressing.
The Afghans have lost to the Arabs, Turks, Mongols, Indian Delhi Sultans, Uzbeks, Timurids, Mughals, Marathas, and Sikhs with long periods of occupation, and with only a change of masters.
Afghans have never defeated an Asian or Muslim adversary,

As always India is banking on a loosing horse:
- Tibetan guerrillas in the 1950s against China
- Burmese Kuki rebels against Myanmar
- Tamil Tiger terrorists against Sri Lanka
The only "success" was supporting Bengali Mukti Bahini guerillas in Bangladesh, and that too as in 2025 didn't quite turnout as desired by India.
