Does Pakistan consider it mask off (yet) in discussions with Afghanistan? Awaiting outcome of discussions in Doha.our on going conflict where the masks are off and TTP = TTA
Top post. The highlighted bit is the important message. Pakistan will not tolerate any crap from anyone. Indians will not understand this logic, hence their repeated errors since May.FM AM is different, just like 2019 is different from 2025.
In 2019, Bajwa and IK wanted to end the conflict and call it a day. Abhinandan was sent back in a jiffy. India thought Rafale is the answer and will eat up the F-16 that shot down Mig-21. India didn't take 2019 as a defeat that India took now in 2025. The whole world saw how IAF was humiliated by a smaller PAF flying J-10s as spear tip, JFT and F-16 providing back up to J-10s.
FM AM is not letting anything slip by easily and Im not trying to glorify him. He asked a response against Iran in 2024, ensuring PAF and PA send a strong message across. Fatah GMLRS came into light and J-10 saw its first air superiority CAP anticipating F-14s from IriAF, which never showed up.
Somehow, the atmosphere had changed after Bajwa left the seat. It reminds me of Musharraf, who was a vengeful personality. It was known he would bite back if you struck him. FM AM is not Musharraf type with an aggressive outlook, but he means business. He has chosen a cadre of officers around him who give offensive plans, want to fully utilize the weapon arsenal of Pakistan and try to get their hands on latest technology to keep an edge over Pakistan's adversaries. I remember how Kiyani, even though living under shadow of Musharraf, closed NATO supply route when Pakistani posts were attacked. An apology from USA, though late, brought things back to normal. While Musharraf was inclined towards Kashmir having served in AJK, FM AM has been stuck in the CT war against BLA and TTP from the first day. That may have had an impact on his military counsel as well, as if waiting for a chance to pounce back.
PAF cannot be ignored in all of this. The anticipation of countering Rafale brought J-10 in PAF colours soon after 2019. Air HQ knew edge in technology was required, therefore PAF invested in ground based jammers and long range AAM. They had made a fully prepared scenario of J-10 vs Rafale using force multipliers but ground assets since air assets like DA-20 EW still lacks power in wattage for jamming vis-a-vis ground based jamming system. Also HQ-9 was brought in the scene, as a high altitude SAM system to show IAF that S-400 is not the only high altitude SAM in the region. HQ-9 missile envelope along with J-10 PL-15s kept IAF at bay for days, till IAF had to rely on Brahmos as last ditch effort after the incursion of Israeli drones took a rapid downfall. It was evident that PAF had shaken IAF badly by downing Rafales and others aircrafts that they resorted to sending drones as next step and then banked on Brahmos to equate the damage that PAF had incurred on them.
No one knows for sure what Qatar talks will bring to the region, and more so if the talks will be successful or not as Pakistan has held talks till 2025 and now started punishing Taliban and their sidekick TTP with air strikes and artillery strikes. FM AM doesnt seem to be bothered that Afghani Army are "brothers", Taliban were once "friends" and that muslim brotherhood should be regarded when faced with terrorism from Afghanistan. He had shown that Pakistan's interests come before religious sentiments by retaliating against Iran already. Pakistan had never been so aggressive for its national security before such as now retaliating against aggressive moves of country (India) after country ( Afghanistan) within months.
I hope the Mods do not ban for interjecting this small religious piece. I read that too MIQ was sent to capture the Ahul-E-Bayt and that was his sole mission. Some Pakistanis and their ideological Indians cousins mock Syeds in the Sub-continent as being Arab wannabes. Many large families escaped the brutal Ummayad and Abbasis to the East frontiers of Persia Afghanistan and Pakistan where they naturally married into other Muslim clans that had recently converted.your commentary re Muhammad bin Qsim is spot on, Bravo, he was sent to take out the Muslims who escaped the Abassi / UUmayaat persecution. .. he met a brutal end at the hands of Suleman bin Abdul Malik upon his return. Hijaj who was also deposed
You will find many Islamist grifters here in the UK trying to teach Muslims that the shitty afghan model is something to look up to.
The reality is that Afghanistan is a disaster from top to bottom and the image of Islam being aligned with them has done great damage globally to the followers of the faith. In the recent Isreali attack on Iran many Afghan refugees were found to be on the Mossad payroll.
Afghanistan is a nation with no future. The problem Pakistan has that if you try to engage these people in a serious manner, the west will flood them with weapons and intelligence support.
They encourage low-iq non muslims to convert. Can I just say I fken hate the word "revert." I do not know how and when it became really popular. They've slowly turned Islam into a real-house-wive of Arabia where its all for the likes and views. You will find many Islamist grifters here in the UK trying to teach Muslims that the shitty afghan model is something to look up to.
Thaterra ..... unusual name , never heard before.....does anyone know the etymology....I googled it couldn't find it.
Given Pakistan's technological superiority against the Indians and Afghan in EW (as shown by the last 6 years), I think some of the above may have been discussed between the Taliban Minister and His Indian hosts. Pakistan decided that these guys had to go or severely downgraded in order to create mischief. Aside from the Genocide in Gaza, I will say Israel did not stick around and let their enemies become stronger. They were correct to destroy Syrian military capabilties before it can be used against Israel in the future.Pakistan can not be flanked by two hostile neighbours who may in the future synchronise their adventurism.
This issue can become existional in the future if not addressed now.
Traditionally a name with Sanskrit origins just like Ramma which can also be found being used in Pakistan.Thaterra ..... unusual name , never heard before.....does anyone know the etymology....I googled it couldn't find it.
This. This is a mature comment. 100% agreedImportant distinction which many are forgetting.
Pakistan is an Islamic republic and the vast majority of populace has Islamic sensitivities.
So we must not and cannot forget that we ourselves are accountable for our actions in front of God.
We are facing a dire and unfortunate situation in which the state is forced to take military action against another group that is comprised of Muslims and Khawarij (TTA and TTP et al.)
Islamically, a Muslim state can take military action against another group of Muslims (or khawarij, which are also Muslims per legal criteria), if that group threatens the safety and security of the citizens.
So from an Islamic perspective, an action might be permissible but not praiseworthy or one that has to be cheered upon.
The nature of this warfare has imposed on us that despite best efforts, we cannot avoid loss of innocent lives 100%.
That is why, to preseve or moral and muslim identity, it is very important to explain it to ourselves and to the world, that the state is forced to act in such a way, and is not neccassirly pleased with the state of affairs.
Despite our hatred for Afghans at the moment, we must not forget that cheapening of Afghan blood, is inturn, cheapening of the Muslim blood. At the end of the day, they pray towards the same Kaaba and have the same kalimah.
We kill because we have to, not because we are bloodthirsty. We will stop when we see any opening that allows us to ensure our security without killing.
This is important to understand because we are operating in a weird binary. Either the Afghans are sacred brothers or they are vile namak harams that deserve massacare. The point is that the Islamic framework allows the state to take military action without us dehumanizing Afghans specially the TTA that we have courted for decades.
There is no point in burning all bridges because no matter how much explosives are dropped, at the end of the day we will be negotiating with them. This will happen today or tommorrow, but it will. Militray action is only to allow us to negotiate from a position of strength.
