There is no interest in removing the Taliban.

Taliban needs to stop TTP from carrying out cross border terrorism. Taliban needs to stop behaving like a slave of India. That is it. Whatever else Afghanistan does between its borders is its own problem.

Maybe the Afghan Taliban think they can use TTP as another militant wing to solidify their own rule in Afghanistan .

Al-Jazeera has mostly been anti-Pakistan. All you need to do is look at their past reporting.

Don't be fooled by ummah or Islamic brotherhood fairytale. Qataris, Saudis, Emiratis etc. all look at their interests.

the qataris better prepare for their own troubles and the pending future slavery to the zions. They are incompetenet and the only thing they can do is run their airline around the world. Thats about it.

They should leave the Strategic games to big players. They should focus on their "safety" reputation of their capital

Qataris have never be on Pakistan side ...like UAE. So no surprise ...with in 24 hrs of negotiations....Afghans have half back tracked .....two attacks already reported today.....so we are at the same position.

Yeah, I heard similar stuff from others too (but not in so much details like removing all body hair, etc.). Uzbeks, for example, would capture the local Afghan shah/ruler and marry him just to insult Afghans. I am not sure if that really is true or not though.

What is well known, however, is that the invaders coming from the north didn't stop at Kabul. They would get little resistance/fight in Afghanistan and so moved on to the Indian subcontinent with their war missions. Afghans could only served those invaders as porters, guides, etc.

Why they should.
Afghan Govt is more powerful than Pakistan, They can force Qatar to issue a statement which they like. Do you think they care about what Pakistan demands or think.

Pakistan do not have its priorities straight, just see the heavy handed constant approach to its own citizens, and just khana puri for external threats.

Just see the Statements coming out from Afghan officials and compare with Pakistan.

We are not serious or our hands are tied by the powers, we want to please.

Don’t be mad at Qatar for Afghanistan not recognizing the border. Qatar is a neutral mediator they cannot favor any side so they have to remain neutral.

FWIW Qatar officially recognizes DL as IB of PK and AFG.

With that said a ceasefire is pointless, Pakistan has to finish the job of eliminating TTP and their supporters everywhere.

My suggestion is to bomb the Taliban headquarters in qatar. We were shown how qatar welcomes this type of approach to crisis management. Like many people have already saud, the agreement was pointless.

Not the agreement... the act of using a third party to mediate what would be or should be Pakistan's own backyard... under its thumb and any aggression from there cannot be tolerated.

The US is about to do a regime change in Venezuela... a state in South America under Monroe doctrine... where all of Americas are Uncle Sam's backyard... further US is Treaty bound to protect Europe that is in line and under US thumb and impunity... with soldiers under immunity from prosecution in local laws under SOFA. Pakistan cannot exist in a vacuum suffocated or inflated by outside powers or instigators. As the nucleus and focal point of the region with the requisite military might... its must set the order straight!!!

This cannot be negotiated away. There are things if brought to the negotiating table lose their value... some must remain unsaid and never brought up for suggestions or speculations much less compromised upon.

Exactly. Even though the removal of the word 'border' on Afghan objection shows the reneging nature of Taliban regime, still there is no need to over-react on this change. It gives a certain leverage to Pakistan too and that may be valuable in future. ...

The point that people are missing is, why did Qatar add the word "border" in their initial statement in the first place?

Are they not aware of Afghan sentiments?
