The word "Indian Subcontinent" should be banned in Pakistan.
India = Indus = Sindhu = Modern day Pakistan

Similarly Indian Ocean = Sindhu Sagar

Greeks called Sindh "Indos" and the region as "Indikē." The region in question is today's Pakistan. They didn't cross into Hindustan/Bharat. If anything, Pakistan has the claim to the word "India."

Indians have been slowly relabelling all of their rice to "Himalayan Rice" I guess in anticipation of this move, here in the UK.

As a UK consumer, it this makes it easier for me to avoid India rice, as in most stores when I am buying rice, I feel like I am the only person checking if it is Pakistani or not! Now, I will be able to avoid Himalayan Rice entirely.

Pakistan should clamp down on the relabelling in the UAE though.

I always buy Pakistani rice in Canada.

I buy Kaalar/Kalaar or Minar brand.

The word "Indian Subcontinent" should be banned in Pakistan.

Only Asian Subcontinent should be used or South Asia.
Debatable reasoning. I understand your sentiment - to roundly reject Delhi's self proclaimed "ownership" of geographical entities - and I agree in that regard.

However, I am not sure that your argument wouldn't logically result in a forced renaming of the River Indus by the same rationale.

"Indian" as a descriptive term has indeed been misappropriated by Bharat, however, is the solution for Pakistan a wholesale rejection or a selective reclaiming?

Allow me to further explain with respect to "Indian Subcontinent" - this phrase existed in cartographical discourse well prior to the birth of the nation state of India and entirely relates to the historic Greek/Persian nomenclature for the region. It is unrelated to the nation state "India". However, due to the confusion that arises, it may well mislead third parties to necessarily associate the subcontinent with the Indian Republic directly rather than understanding the more nuanced reality.

Perhaps Pakistani efforts are better spent reclaiming the word "India" (NOT in terms of names of countries of course, but as a descriptor for geographical features and historical legacies that pertain to the River Indus), which should never have been commandeered by the easterly Nehruvian gangetic coalition in the first place.

The modern Greeks fought long and hard to deny North Macedonia/FYROM the legacy rights over the word "Macedonia", and rather than abandon our rights over the word "India", we should find ways to reclaim and reassert them where appropriate.

Precisely this.

The Nanda Empire lay well east of Alexander's expedition. The Greeks regarded "Indian civilisation" to be that of the IVC and its remnants, or those that settled in that region. He wanted nowt to do with those tree swingers to the east.

I accept your logic.
But how to convince people is the problem.

We need to convince the United Nations that Republic of India cannot use the word "India" as their name.

If Republic of India uses the name "India" then in Pakistan "Indian Subcontinent" should be banned.

Only South Asia or Asian Subcontinent should be used.

I do agree with your point👍 Indians are selling fraudulent or counterfeit rice similar that, at a glance , a reasonable consumer wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.
Indian fake rice names are garbage no matter what the label is. People will stick with to what they know and count on quality thats called Basmati rice. Indians dressing up rice label similar to Pakistani geographical names is pathetic and totally desperation.

Pakistan needs to correct its soft power and reputation.

Like what is Pakistan known for: K2, Badshahi Mosque, Shalimar Gardens, Jehangir's Tomb, Nanga Parbat, Khyber Pass, etc.

Only if idiots like Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif would use their brains for a change.

But the Sharif brothers are better than Imran Khan. Imran Khan is too immature for politics.

But the Sharif brothers are corrupt to the core.

You are pretty on point mate. A name or a geographical mention is much like a logo . It serves to identify it to a product. And Indian scammers are very good at this, To stop it relating back to Pakistan where they originally stole names and places from,

We have our own Taj Mahal or Humayun's Tomb which is Jehangir's Tomb.
Jehangir's Tomb should be advertised as Pakistan's logo.

But idiots run Pakistan unfortunately.

One of the most maddening and infuriating things about Pakistan is the lack of respect and pride in the country. At times it feels like a holding pen for people until they can move to greener pastures ie Middle East or the West etc. I am against regressive nationalism as we can see the effects on a low iq society such as India, but Pakistan maybe needs doses of it. You have influencers pushing northern Pakistan areas without touching the rest of the country. Given the absolute gutter reputation Indians had Afghans have in the world - pick any country where the Indians live or travel to in large numbers - and read the social media accounts of its people to understand the sheer hatred the world has towards them. Its straight-up vile racism.

I came across this on reddit - this foreigner who visited Pakistan - all of it. Read the comments to gauge how the country is viewed. As much as I hate the absolute borderline psychotic bending over backwards to non-Pakistanis - this is one of the more effective soft-power Pakistan is actually known for. We also have the trucks' art, music, clothing. Us Overseas Pakistan can actually see it, but people in Pakistan would label it as South Asian or Desi. Need to stop using these terms to suppress Pakistani identity.

Because the West is Islamophobic. You know what the people in the West say behind closed doors about Muslims. lol. They say bad things.

We need to ask China which has 1.42 billion to improve Pakistan's reputation.

1.42 billion Chinese people are willing to visit Pakistan.

Pakistan is an "Emerging Pakistan" - with 266 million people. Insh'Allah we will get there.

I advise the Pakistani diaspora to rush back to Pakistan to fix it, so we can live there.
