A black day in history of Pakistan Air Force.
A transport plan of PAF crashed near Kohat. In that crash Air Chief Marshal Mushaf Ali Mir embraced Shahadat along with his wife Bilquis Mir and all other 15 officers and crew members.

Simple answer, no AESA or new engine. Mirages will be phased out in 2-3 years.

He had a “dogfight” with F-14s in a mirage and got onto a 6 of one armed - the F-14 pilot was screaming and panicking over guard because he knew he was in a spot no flares or maneuvering would save him - all because the F-14 pilot was a greenhorn and was trying to show off and get too close for what was a cordial intercept as F-14s providing CAP for the carrier flew into Pakistan’s EEZ.

That same year when the F-14 squadron did their tour video they held up a sign “F-ck Pakistan”

Also the same individual who told me very clearly at my very very young age - leave Pakistan and never looK back , you’ll be wasted here.

Instead of retiring the remaining F-7PG and Mirage squadrons, PAF has an opportunity to convert them into drones. By adopting the PLAAF's approach of turning legacy J-6/J-7 aircraft into kamikaze drones, these old assets could serve a new purpose. They would be particularly effective in any Operation Sindoor 2.0 for saturating and degrading IAF air defense networks.

What are you going to do with 100 drones? Which can be seen on radar from a mile away and be easily shot down? What additional capability would they provide that your current drone arsenal does not?
