There are talks of separarely equipping PAF with SSMs under the wider umbrella of Rocket Force. PAF will maintain own inventory, prioritize targets and use the missiles without wasting time in following due procedures with rocket force when they need to hit something without jeopardizing air assets - though ofcourse the CDF would remain the overall incharge of whole gameplan.

No , Mostly against C&C nodes (IACCS for eg) , Fixed ground radars on IAF signal units , Airbases , comms etc etc

I think it may also be to ensure PAF can compete with PA in every long range Attack capability so their importance doesnt get overshadowed

Yes, there is a set script for press releases. This doesn't sound like it. Also, I don't think there is a J-31 anymore.

I don't know why it wasn't done earlier PAF should have had control of munitions to be used against IAF bases. Hope there is a separate Rocket force command for Each Arm. Army, Navy and Airforce each should have rocket force command with.

problem is the all seeing army used to want control of everything.

I think its pretty moronic having 2 parallel LRAD structures, sounds hugely inefficient and a recipe for blue on blue. AD should have always been PAF AOR to prevent ghost of kuwait type scenarios

Agreed, PA having HQ16 and HQ9 makes zero sense. Maybe Manpads at best. AD needs to be networked and PAF be given full authority over it, after all, its their air assets that would be in the air during combat operations.

The only problem is that they won't believe we dealt more damage to India because satellite imagery is not shown, so PAF must be lying.

I don't understand this point, commercial satellite companies are available globally to image anything, if there was anything unusual, they would have made it a huge talking point. Not even the USA can hide satellite imagery.

Air Defence assets barring MANPADs should be under the Air Force's responsibility, the army controlling it makes little sense and could lead to a lack of co-ordination that leads to friendly fire incidents.
