Pakistan Air Force | News & Discussions

You want these drones to be as cheap as possible, adding expensive imaging seekers and and what not ruins the purpose

Genuinely questioning if west(including turkey)has learnt anything from ukraine or do they remain as stupid as pre war
I sure hope we learnt something

can u explain why , is it because it will be too expenisve becasue of the sensors , or the landing wheels ??

these are still slow as shit, the one thing that also irks me is that these need a runway.

There is no logical reason for this, at all, none whatsoever. Imagine needing a runway for a loitering munition. What happens when your airbases are getting smacked? Why these arent just equipped with a booster and launched out of a truck is beyond me.

When it comes to non-kinetic warfare and strategic evolution, ACM Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu operates on an entirely different level. He’s transformed the PAF into a true multi-platform powerhouse—first with the J-10C, and now with the J-35 on the horizon—cementing a legacy of modernization, strength, and strategic foresight.

After the absolutely humiliating Indian Air Force performance last year, the May vibes hit even harder. Absolute Chad energy.

The Pakistan Air Force is broadly moving in the right direction, but the fleet still contains an excessive number of legacy fighters, largely because of long‑standing financial constraints. To break this cycle, Pakistan needs a decisive shift in both production capacity and modernization planning.

Increasing the JF‑17 production rate to at least 30–35 aircraft per year would allow the PAF to retire aging platforms on schedule instead of stretching them far beyond their intended service life. At the same time, accelerating the PFX program, both the medium‑weight 4.5+ generation track and the long‑term 5th‑generation pathway, will ensure that Pakistan does not face another capability gap in the 2030s.

In parallel, the PAF should raise its frontline strength by adding two additional squadrons of modern fighters, ideally equipped with AESA radar, long‑range BVR capability, and strong EW suites. This would stabilize squadron numbers, strengthen deterrence, and prevent over‑reliance on a small number of high‑end assets.

Most important aspect is that leadership MUST rotate in timely fashion in a professional service. No one should occupy a position that so many deserving air marshals should strive for (on merit). If they feel no matter how competent and deserving they are but they can never be CAS as that position is occupied then it erodes the professionalism of the institution.

Also, "he" transformed PAF into --- first with J-10C and then...... lol

Did CAS paid for the J-10Cs from his own pocket ? Its the people's money arranged by the govt of the time.

I have never heard any earlier CAS gone into such vicious and paindu self PR campaign. Spending tax payer money on his self. A dedicated staff on his majesty's PR. I hope one day he gets accountable for all that wrong traditions that he is setting in a professional service.

Any truth in this? was their airforce activity on both sides of border in the last 1-2 days as being reported in this video?

At the same time, accelerating the PFX program, ......
For the purposes of research and technological reserve, Pakistan may continue to advance the PFX project.
However, you should harbor no expectations of it ever entering formal mass service with the PAF.
This is a project devoid of any practical significance (save for its objectives regarding research and technological reserve).

Yes the Yiha-3 also has useless long legs, like it is going for a ramp walk. Either the landing gear be jetissoned and re-used for next drone, or use a launch rail.
