these are still slow as shit, the one thing that also irks me is that these need a runway.

There is no logical reason for this, at all, none whatsoever. Imagine needing a runway for a loitering munition. What happens when your airbases are getting smacked? Why these arent just equipped with a booster and launched out of a truck is beyond me.

The Turks have unveiled a new kamikaze drone today with Shahed/Geran-like design philosophy:

STM Kuzgun LM, 1000 km range, rocket-assisted takeoff, and a 40-50 kg warhead




I feel like the military probably has other Chinese options as well, such as Feilong-300D (1000+ km range), PD2900 (2500 km range), LOONG M9, etc., all of which are similar to Shahed, and they are producing them in their hundreds of thousands or even millions in China

Deputy CAS on possible acquisition of J-35 : PAF is looking into it but we have other options as well infact long term goal is advance version of Jf17 i.e. JF17X. He didn't hint imminent induction of J35.

I guess the PAF have some cushion in terms of fifth gen platform because the IAF is decades away from inducting any fifth gen. For now, more J10C and maybe an advanced version of JF17 (although I'm doubtful about this) will suffice against any threats from the IAF, all they can do for the time being is induction more Rafale, and we know how to handle that.
