When a NASTP building was first unveiled. There were a lot of 'Live Laugh Love' type decorations. Weird fancy clocks and wall hangings. I think they gave 'theqa' to somebody to do the interior design and they bought whatever models seemed cool to them as decor.

Because that is clearly a YF-22 model off of Etsy/Alibaba

May be they really like YF 23 ..paf take its inspiration from usa fighter jets its nothing new. YF23 was way ahead of its time

I swear..., wasting time on 3D Models of 5th Gen Jets that were designed in the 80's.

People in the West make better RC Models that actually fly.

All PAF can do is make infomercials & promote our "great" Air Chief.

Even though the word comes from latin tridentis which means three prongs and is associated with Poseidon/Neptune or Trishul for that matter.

Urdu has tons of Greek Latin-derived technical terms via English: missile, radar, satellite, ballistic, tactical, strategic, artillery, gunnery, computer, helicopter, telephone, radio. you don’t say “we can’t use ballistic because it’s Latin” or “we can’t use radar because it’s English” but suddenly trident is the line in the sand?

Your concern is performative for attention. trident has almost zero cultural/religious impact on a Pakistani weapons system. it’s just a cool, powerful sounding name that’s internationally recognizable. the weapon is still Pakistani, built with Pakistani and foreign engineers, used by the Pakistani military, for Pakistani defense. the name doesn’t change any of that.

Btw - Horizon 7 - horizon.. Ancient Greek ὁρίζων (horízōn), short for ὁρίζων κύκλος (horízōn kýklos) meaning "bounding circle" or "dividing circle".

Those 5th gen jets were designed using maths - maths isnt changeable.
The design for the NGAD for e.g. was ALREADY TESTED back in the late 80s as part of progressive designs because the math - which involved LO + aerodynamic needs was true then as it is true now.

Same reason the J-35 looks like a F-22 and F-35 love child because its not a demand to change what already works in math.

Kissi ki izzat nahin lut rahi using the same concept.

What matters is what goes into the aircraft in terms of avionics and engines.

The YF-23 had a RCS lower than F-22 while the more recent F-35 has a RCS more than F-22. That does not make the F-35 a 80s 5th gen design per se but an iteration of existing concepts based on requirements.

The same way, if they were to actually build something the YF-23stani is not a bad idea because it is a proven config that will work both for LO and also with weapons and space requirements.



However, other than making the chota Kaan so far the PAF has had little progress to show for other than expo center models because you dont have the expertize.

NO one wants to stay in Pakistan who has half a brain... everyone despite their surface muhibbul watani lies is looking for an exit.

In such a case when the PAF contractors realize they have nothing else available locally they stick to their architectural plans, the plaque unveiling and dua e khairs.. and then move onto shelving 80% while working on the 10%.

The current narcissism needs combined with sycophantic suckups notwithstanding.
