what happend to the aircraft gifted by qatar. Qatar gifted an Airbus A-310 to Pakistan in 2007 for use by the country's prime minister and president. The 89-seat plane was intended for VVIP travel for the Prime Minister and President of Pakistan and was expected to be operated by the Pakistan Air Force (PAF).no, its our medevac aircraft.

That was actually going to be used to convert into an MRTT by airbus, with the option of more, but it never worked out. I remember talking to an Airbus rep at the 2006 Farnborough air show about the potential contract, but even back then he didn't have high hopes for it. I think the plan back then was to have an A310 based MRTT with combined probe/drogue and boom capability to support the Viper fleet and JF17s.what happend to the aircraft gifted by qatar. IIRC the A310 MRTT was a limited run for Germany and Canada, after that, Airbus DS wanted to push the A330 MRTT to the wider market. Unfortunately for the PAF, the US considered the A330 MRTT as too much of a disruptive system in PAF hands, so Airbus DS couldn't really sell it to the PAF. This may change in the coming years. The IL-78s are great (via payload) lifters, but not the most efficient AAR tankers. That was actually going to be used to convert into an MRTT by airbus, with the option of more, but it never worked out.
