Pakistan and Kuwait discuss expanded defence pact, sources say

Obviously. Thanks to our offshore drilling success and those huge oil and gas reserves in baluchistan. Which private companies were only recently able to drill because of bestest security situation. Now pakistan even export oil.

And when we woke up, we found out that Kuwait is one of our major diesel supplier and diesel is more thicker than blood and water combined

Ok, say we sign this pact and Iran fires another dozen missiles at them. What are we supposed to do?
Well i think the Kuwaiti expectation will be that you will defend them until the West, Israel and probably India come to their rescue. Then Al Bakistanis can go home.

Quite similar to Gulf War 1.

Brother this thread is so childish the premise of this entire debate is laughable.

But, But, But we were promised land of milk and honey, where rives of oil and diesel will flow through the Chenab and F16's will fly overhead Minar-e-Pakistan... WOW GRAPE!!!

The best we can do is station some JF-17s that can chase after Shaheds with cannons.

However jitna unho ne hammay pay karna hay for this work, they can just fly their own damn planes.

And do service to Islam by taking out amreeki F-15s by the quarter dozens...

In my opinion we should persue the opportunity, but we will manage to fk it up, just like we did post 911.

Ultimately everyone knows in Pakistan if you can buy off the guy at the top - you can buy Pakistan.

Post 911 Musharraf offered unconditional support at a dirt cheap price. We continue to pay the price, 80,000+ dead later.

If post 911 he'd negotiated a Pakistan friendly govt in Afghanistan, trade deals with the USA and EU, access to clean nuclear energy and wiping out loans, Pakistan would have benefitted massively. Our economic landscape would be much different, we'd not have lost 2 decades to terrorism and we wouldn't have to undermine NATO in Afghanistan. Afghanistan and Pakistan would both be better off today.

Instead he focused on F-solah and scraps off the table for the Boys.

Similarly security pacts with Saudi, Qatar, Kuwait etc should come with ties of normalisation with Iran, no clandestine support of Israel and huge FDI in Pakistan, as well as the funding, equipping and training of a force with the numbers and capabilities to project power in the region.

Instead I imagine we'll over stretch, under deliver all for a few migrant visas, some cash, plots and perks for the usual suspects.

@RescueRanger makes an excellent point about our lack of manpower, weaponry and doctrine atm to be "that guy".
